"I’m in Auckland for work and staying at Viaduct Harbour and am spoiled for choice for dining. I really enjoyed my lunch at Giraffe. The staff are amazing, the food is very good and the coffee was like heaven for this Melbournian. Great views with a relaxed vibe. Despite the many options nearby I have no doubt I’ll be back."

"I have to say I was impressed with most of what we ordered but very disappointed with one dish... My favourite would be the beef brisket bao: probably the best bao I've had! The beef brisket is slow cooked and then seared, extremely smoky and peppery, topped with gochujang and Kimchi. The Bun itself was really soft and springy and had a slight sweet aftertaste which brought all the flavours together.<br/>The dish I was disappointed with was the curry soup chicken Confit: it tasted like watered down jap curry that you can get at the Asian supermarket, with boiled chicken (which was very tender at least). The veges seemed to be baked? That made the eggplant skin cardboard-like and the enoki mushrooms dry and shriveled. The veges were bland and had 0 seasoning.<br/>I guess I'd only confidently come here just for their bao"

"I only got the chicken katsu egg don but that was pretty fantastic. If I were from around here, I'd be back for that.... I came back and got the udon and tartare chicken. Okay, and less impressive. I wish I'd ordered the chicken katsu again."

"Went to Katsura without reservation and found ourselves in a very elegant Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant with teppanyaki on the side, a bar and seating down the back. <br/ <br/ Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, constantly filling out water. <br/ <br/ We ordered the beef tataki, lobster salad, medium sashimi, pork ramen and salmon deep fried philadelphia roll. It was perfect for two and came to $103. <br/ <br/ The food came out really fast and altogether, with the seafood being very fresh! You can taste the quality."

"A discreet restaurant located in an alleyway on lower Queen Street. Standard Japanese interior, reasonably clean. <br/ <br/ Friendly staff with great hospitality, we were provided with hot towels on arrival and the food were quick to serve.<br/ <br/ The salmon sashimi was fresh and decently portioned. The beef tataki was disappointing, the meat was slightly tough, sliced too thick and over flavored. <br/ <br/ The bento box was nice, contained a good variety of food. The tempura was excellent, especially the kumara tempura. Crispy but puffy with a lovely dip. The eel was nicely flavored but too few. "Customer service: 5/5 Food 5/5 Price: if you dont eat fish dont bother, would say worth the experience and pretty decent for town Feedback: bit more variety with types of sauces/meat (hotpot)if possible Personal note: As a person who does not eat fish much or sticks to simple raw fish, I gave this a 5 rating coz even though I dont eat fish it would be unfair to give it a lower rating as I already knew what was to come from checking the website and also for others whos tastes buds are more catered for this type of menu. In saying that the all you can eat is legit with its selection of fried food (prawn tempura, karaage etc and sushi) try to eat as much of the raw fish platter just to try it not my cup of tea but have family and friends who are into this and may want to try it. Loved the atmosphere and customer service was on point. 5/5 for me"

"Ceviche was my only meal which was beyond my expectations, delicious beyond compare. Trust me am an avid fan of ceviche, this was my best so far. My son who had the pork ribs grilled truly enjoyed his meal. Other son had the eggplant which was also very tasty and satisfying. Hubby though had the chicken who was moaning not to his expectations. I should a bit pricey overall."
