"Her place in SM Aura was unique from the others. It was the first thing that made me eat there. The price was affordable. I got the Chicken Rice Bowl, the free miso soup. The miso soup was just right, not too salty or whatever. The sauce was delicious but not evenly spread. The chicken was well done but it took the sauce to have that flavor but due to the unevenly spread sauce, most of the sauce only covered the rice portion as the chicken. The drinks are a bit overloaded and the size of the food was too small to feel satisfactorily full."

"My mom went home one day with some of Zao's barbecue dishes - which we all enjoyed. So on another day when my mom wanted to eat at Zao again, we obliged.

Having already tasted their barbecue dishes, we wanted to try something new. We had Crab Cakes for appetizer, Zao Pho for my brother, Zao Bowl for me, and Seafood in Claypot for my mom. The Crab Cakes tasted good but what made it stand out for me was the cilantro mayonnaise. It was so good I used it as a dip for the spring rolls that came with my Zao Bowl. Speaking of the Zao Bowl, it was filling but not so fulfilling. I only enjoyed the toppings but not so much the cold vermicelli noodles. As far as I can remember, my brother enjoyed his Zao Pho very much but only after adding (almost) all of the condiments that came with it. I was also able to try the Seafood in Claypot and I liked the chewy texture of the squid as well as the sauced up rice.

The star of that night's dinner would have to be their Tamarind Iced Tea. It tasted like the Moniegold chewy tamarind candy which is our family's favorite. I forgot how many refills we had but my brother and I had A LOT.

As much as some of their food tasted good, those that I enjoyed weren't exactly Vietnamese dishes. So after eating at Zao, I came to the realization that I am not a fan of Vietnamese food, unfortunately. I'd still like to give their Calamansi Tart a try, though."

"What we ordered (I'll put an English translation):
Carpaccio di Manzo (slices of raw beef with parmigiano etc)
Insalata di polpo (octopus salad)
Misto di bruschette (grilled bread with various toppings)
Ravioli ripieni (ravioli stuffed with spinach, sage etc.)
Tiramisu
Drinks (Limoncello etc.)

Let me start out by saying that this place serves some really good authentic Italian food. The carpaccio isn't the best I've had (but this is coming from an Italian) but the slices and texture were great. The meat could be tastier but it is quite hard to find good beef here. Octopus salad is an Italian specialty and I've never had a good one outside of Italy until now. Bruschette had just enough flavor to it when it comes to the toppings. No complaints on the ravioli. Pasta was al dente except for the spaghetti. We gave feedback and of course it is a learning process for the Filipino cooks. I al very particular about having my pasta al dente else its quite hard for me to... read more"

"I ordered the Pho Special which came with different types of meat. The good thing about it is that it comes in 2 sizes. I split the Banh Mi with my sister. It was quite good. I also liked the spring rolls we ordered. The 2 sauces that came with it helped to add more flavor. We had a coffee jelly dessert to end the meal. I wish I had ordered Vietnamese coffee because I have heard good things about it. Vietnamese cuisine is quite new to me, so I rarely dine at Vietnamese restaurants but I was satisfied with my meal here at Phat Pho, Serendra. The servers were
also helpful about answering my questions about how to flavor my pho bowl.
@maniladiningdiary
"

"Was able to visit this place twice already (1) with my aunt and (2) with my homies.

I was able to try the following dishes:

Bacon Clam Chowder

- served hot in a bread bowl, the soup was tasty and comforting.

Warm Buffalo Bleu Cheese with Chicken Dip

- This was good! It may look bitin and konti but it was actually a lot. Served with potato chips, celery and carrots. Would be better if the potato chips were able to maintain their crispiness. I like soggy soft nacho chips but not soggy potato chips. :( We tried dipping the fried chicken here which surprisingly worked well together! :)

Providore Salad

- Providore's salad was just okay. Usual salad. Nothing extraordinary. At 350pesos, this is way too pricey, imo.

Crispy Seafood Mayo Roll

- Hmm, this was just okay too. I was kind of expecting a lot from this one but sadly, it was not how I expected it to be. The bread was too big/thick. No buttery soft bun filled with seafood goodness. The seafood filling was a bit bitin and is lacking something I can't exactly identify. Parang kulang.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

- There must be a reason why this dish is named like this. You just can't say something's a winner when clearly, it's not. I was not that excited to try it at first since it looks just like any ordinary crispy fried chicken, but when you get to taste it, you'll understand why and know the reason behind the name. With a chicken this good, you just have to name it as a Winner. ;)

The first time I tried this, I liked it but on my second visit, it was so much better. I loved it! The chicken was really good. Crispy and was fried perfectly! And the mashed potato, biscuit/bread were also yummy. A must try!

Beef Salpicao

- Tender, tasty and oh so flavorful beef salpicao. Garlic goodness overload! This was another winner and we all liked this.

Bicol Express

- This was surprisingly good and tasty. Bicol express lovers will surely enjoy this. Sarap!

If you're planning to visit this place, you must order the CHICKEN. If you like beef, order the salpicao. And oh, heard and read good reviews about the burger so you might want to try that, as well.

SERVICE was just okay. First visit, service was fast and the servers were hands on, very helpful and approachable. On my second visit, it wasn't as good as the first but not that bad -- just different."
