"Husband wanted a burger and shake thought this was a good place because it was walking distance from our hotel, Failed!!! They are OVER PRICED!!!! Burger which we don’t know what type of meat it was, wasn’t good at all made me very sick , the waitress which seems to be the owner possibly was very rude, didn’t want to show us how to use her WIFI. You pay $15 for just a burger no fries or drink and $19. 90 if you want to get a fries and drink and $10-15 for a shake just the shake. We ordered the burger and fries and just a burger and a shake our bill was over $45 and she didn’t even give us our drink. Her son who came later had to interpret for us and let her know that she still owed us the drink. Don’t waste your time or money it’s not worth it. Go to Heidi and Tell yes their high also but the food is way better"

"There was one of the EC football matches. There were tons of screens so everyone could easily see the game. Despite being outside, everything was in the shade and very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was very nice, had the nachos that were a hit, plus the beef burger that was also very beautiful. Had a little chili on what was a very nice extra turn. The drinks I had were okay. The whisky sour was really good, but the Pina Colada could not keep this standard. All in all a beautiful experience and we will be very likely again."

"Needless to say, we were surprised to find this place while wandering near out hotel, but we were glad we did. Good, solid American BBQ, friendly service despite a large crowd, even a decent selection of beers. Our server spoke impeccable English and was attentive and as prompt as expected under the circumstances. Yes, you'll pay a bit, but after all, you're in Zurich . . ."

"Meat or squid/fish lovers, come on down! The food and the price is right here! *** Here comes the stampede***This place is diagonally across from Caduff's Wine Loft, which is probably the most notcieable building within these two streets. But Pergola's less exterior presence doesn't mean that interior offerings are less worthy though one could say the interior furnishings are a-okay/kind of dated. In fact, all meat and fish lovers who love a hard bargain should come to Pergola instead.Pergola is great when you are with some friends or family, feeling ravenous and want to be feed with great meat and fish/squid dishes without falling over the bill. Pergola is Italian/Portuguese food, so you cannot do wrong with one or the either. Be careful - the menu is quite extensive too.For the starters I would highly recommend the Sepia (Squid). Enough to nibble between 2-3 people, but they do serve this as a main course with Spanish rice. For the main, depending on what you like, get either the sepia/fish or go for the meat! I ordered a steak entree for two and received a portion so generous I was ready to call up my other friend to come over and help me finish it. The steak entree for two was nicely served in two courses, so that while you are eating the first portion, the second portion is sitting in a warm area, so that when you are served again you are still eating a very nice meal. This type of good service with reasonable prices and tasty, well portioned food is not something you will find much of in Zurich.The customers are in general pretty friendly so don't worry about chatting up someone in another group behind/across from you. The service is very good and I'd recommend a reservation since it was busy."

"If I have to eat there, I just take the salad bar. It's cheaper than the ETHZ mensa. It would be nice if they bring back the salmon and hamburger sandwich, the new sandwiches are too strange for me."
