"We went for a NYE dinner. Food and service were amazing. DJ was a little loud, but it was a holiday event. The holiday menu was fantastic, especially the tuna sampler, and we enjoyed a great evening."

"Has Trivia All You can eat Wings for $15 on Wednesday. Batch of 9, then 5 more at a time, can switch between boneless amd bone in. Good service, though busy so it took a little bit. Don't recommend the boneless wings as they seemed dry and cheap but the bone in wings were solid."

"Love this place! Anthony is the best manager for Duffer's Mill, and you couldn't find a more friendly guy. The hostesses are awesome, especially Emalee and Grace. The wait staff is attentive and caring, and the food is always amazing."

"The vibe at Tarantula Hill is awesome. Family friendly, girls night out friendly, date night friendly, it does it all.And the beer selection surpasses a lot of other breweries in the area so that's definitely a plus. It's a big open space inside and out so it can get loud with the street and other patrons talking. But there are a lot of tables so it's easy to find a seat even when it's busy. And the noise adds to the fun vibe.My only reason for rating it 4 instead of 5 stars is the price and the lack of allergy friendly food. They used to have so many more plant-based options and the selection keeps dwindling. There is vegan cheese now for pizzas which is great. But a plant-based burger is no longer on the menu unless you order the portobello mushroom burger (without cheese). There are no plant-based tacos. The appetizer options are better (brussel sprouts, pretzel, fries, tater tots, hummus). And this time I ordered a Mediterranean salad without feta. While it was a large portion, it was almost entirely made up of kale. With maybe a few sliced olives, a tablespoon of quinoa, and a few onion slices. For almost $18. It seemed very overpriced. For a restaurant in the Thousand Oaks and Westlake area, I can kind of understand the price. But I expected something more impressive for it.I'll still go back because I love the vibe and the beer. I'll order the pizza and see how it is. Hopefully the food selection for those of us who are dairy- and meat-free increases."

"Ate here last night after finding waits of up to two hours at some of our favorite haunts. I grew up in the restaurant business and make my living in food service. Staffing is an issue today, yet not an excuse for poor service. Had to ?bus? our owntable, could have eaten more, or consumed more beverages, if the server actually came by our table. We tried to get theirattention, yet most times we were ignored. Decent food that was somewhat competitive, yet the experience was not. Also, 1small red wine at a bar and grill priced at $12? Really? When visiting the washroom, I figured out why service was so scarce. The Waitstaff was surfing their smart phones at the bar. Ugh. Fellow guests wanted to reflect an appropriate tip to send amessage. Having been on the service side, I couldn?t go there, yet it was as the first time I?ve tipped under 20% in a year. The industry needs staff, so I usually feel it is appropriate to tip accordingly. Much of this boils down to training. I faultmanagement, because the bodies were on site, just not directed to provide service. Final straw was getting someone to bring usa check. Seemed like an inconvenience. Eat here at your own risk. It was not a positive experience for us. In fact, wefantasized about heading to Pete?s market, buying off of the food bar, and eating on the sidewalk in the cold. It might havebeen more fun. I hope ownership sees this and makes the appropriate adjustments. We?ve had better at Ellyn?s, and certainlyelsewhere in Glen Ellyn."
