"This place is crazy and full of locals the best recommendation a place can have! I was not brave enough to try tapas at the bar, it looked intense and my Spanish speaking skills far from fluent. Luckily, they have a deli where you can pick up goods to eat standing at the benches inside of take away. I tried the tomato cheese croissant safe option) and tuna pie adventurous option) both were delicious and despite my reservations on the tuna pie it was fantastic, very Mediterranean with a ratatouille style sauce. Cheap eats, lots of Museo del Jamon branches around the city, well worth popping in for grub on the go."

"A friend of ours lives close by so he took us to his favorite Italian place. It was lunch time and quite busy so go early or book a table. The interior is date but quite charming, feels like Italy. The salads are really delicious and large to share. My one suggestion is to offer a couple vegetarian salads (with protein, like egg or cheese) it was either one with pancetta or one with lots of fish. We also tried one pasta dish, homemade penne pasta really good. The pizza is also good and unique in that it is a very very thin crispy crust."
