"Had breakfast at Swami 's Cafe Escondido this past Sunday. Food was out of this world from coffee to smoothies to breakfast dishes. Loved the idea that coffee was serve yourself. Loved you could get anytime and season to your preference. Also had a great selection. The place had a very nice vib to it with about equal amounts of indoor or outdoor seating. Food came very quickly when ordered. Only very minor nit was took a few minutes too long for server to get to the table to take orders. Of course had a cup of coffee to carry us over. Overall great experience and will be trying the lunch menu soon. BTW they are only open for breakfast and lunch to don 't plan on a dinner."

"I have been craving a crispy chicken sandwich for a while and this was amazing! I totally recommend it. I also got to try and Ollipop for the first time and that was awesome! I think the chicken sandwich is only like $16 but you'll definitely want to spend like $30 on yourself because they have desserts and smoothies and coffee and all their options look delicious. If you're in the area you should definitely go and you should definitely splurge! Everything my sister and I tried was amazing. I'll have to go back in the area so that I can get the carne asada french fries. If only I could have eaten more food today! My sister bought a cinnamon roll but I got to taste the bite of and I'm disappointed that I didn't buy myself a cinnamon roll. If you like cinnamon rolls and you've been missing them you should definitely treat yourself. We're so full and we definitely ate too much food but we don't go out to restaurants often because we don't trust the food because we have to be gluten free and this was a fantastic welcoming option. Truly a gluten free paradise!"

"I 've been here a few times now and my conclusion is that it 's a bit pricy for what you get. On my most recent visit with my girlfriend we got the $18 appetizer sampler to start which has a small portion of each appetizer and it lacked a dipping sauce for about each thing that it had. It came with a cucumber salad, some plain baked tofu (very bland and again no sauce), some popcorn chicken for lack of a better word which was good but again lacks a dipping sauce. Also came with a couple spring rolls and tofu/veggie cups. Overall that was in no way shape or form worth $18. We then ordered 2 different curries which were $17 each but included rice, much better but still a little pricy for the portion size we received. The curries were good, and I like that they have an option for vegetarian duck which we got. At first I was pretty sure mine came with no duck because literally every piece was on the bottom for some reason, not ideal at all. The curries were a little more watery than we like. Another strange thing is the server did not ask us what spice level we wanted and if I had to guess I 'd say we were given a spice level 5 out of 10 which could certainly be too spicy for a lot of people. The service here is good and the staff are all very friendly so I have to give them that. Our bill came out to $67 not including a tip which is simply too high for what we received and should not be possible among 2 people. It doesn 't typically seem to get crowded here unlike nearby places such as bier garden. Overall not a bad occasional date spot but there are better options for the money for sure."
