"Zum Mittagessen ins Avanti ? Besser sein lassen ! Die bestellte Pizza Salami kam als große Variante, obwohl die kleine Ausführung bestellt war. Unter einer alles bedeckenden dicken und ziemlich geschmacksneutralen Käseschicht verbargen sich einige Scheibchen einer eher undefinierbaren Salami. Die Tomatensoße war leider ohne jede erkennbare Würzung. Auf meine Frage nach etwas Chili-Öl wurde mir eine große Flasche mit scharfer asiatischer Soße hingestellt. Indiskutabel. Meine Begleiterin hatte Penne mit Fleischstreifen und Pilzen. Die Penne leider völlig verkocht in einer undefinierbaren pampigen hellen Soße. Insgesamt: grauenhaft und nicht empfehlenswert."

"A meno di 2 km dal kartrodomo dove avevamo prenotato, abbiamo provato questa modesta pizzeria. Onestamente non mi aspettavo troppo da questo locale all'apparenza modesto ma, avevamo fretta e ci siamo dovuti "adattare".Ordinato 3 pizze medie, 2 birre + acqua, servite dopo solo 20min. di attesa e, guarnite con ingredienti genuini e preparati all'occorrenza che, gli hanno conferito un sapore davvero delizioso. Cordiale anche l'accoglienza ed alla fine abbiamo il conto di soli ... 22 euro!!Consigliatissimo."

This is worth it when you drive about twice a week bus (City Level 1a 2,70 € Cologne Level 2b 4,30 € per ride easy. Now the weather this day was not so hot and we decided to make a little longer tour with the local transport: It should go to Duisburg. Let's see what has changed in Meiderich. The bus arrived on time, even the S 11 was not disturbed. In Cologne Mülheim we should change. So we went to the right platform. But what was on the scoreboard: This train stops – the next one in over an hour. But does he come? So to the next platform: train to the main railway station. He had only 15 minutes late and was full. In Cologne then a look at the road map: Here too, the next train would have lasted in the direction over an hour (ICE of course we didn't want to, which costs a lot. What is it, then we stay in Cologne. The next train to Hansaring and then with the U 12 to Friesenplatz. The KVB railway even came and we were already at the destination after three stations: Duisburg Brauhaus Päffgen. Ambience It was just 2 minutes before 12 o'clock and the baskets pulled up the shutters from the entrance. We were waiting politely for a few minutes (so the locals looked at us in the neighborhood and on the Friesenstraße the gastronomy rows like on a pearl chain and then entered the house without haste. My wife was quite satisfied with the plate – there was a big baguette on a small plate. The thin bratwurst (homemade had been well roasted and lay in a cast iron pan. In the middle stood a pot with mustard (also a paste recipe . A bow was cut through and slightly fried on the soft insides. I liked it very well, it was deicy and fits the carol. The fries were not too thin and crispy. There was a package of Majonäse and Ketchup (I didn't open. Drinks Päffgen Kölsch (0.2 l 2.10 € Päffgen broke in the Friesenviertel since 1883. The brewery is therefore one of the last ones to brew in the city center unchanged (Kölsch must be from Cologne, but Cologne is big: Gaffel in Porz, Früh in Feldkassel, Reissdorf in Rodenkirchen .
