"Still here after eating. absolutely amazing. the best I had for years. we just got the end of the lunch menu and they were very accentuated to put us in the poor and set us up a table outside on the sun. family of 4 we have keema loaded chips, jalfrezi, corma and tikka naanwich. pity that they do not deliver to my hometown. this was not passed by "

"Food was amazing fantastic service from start to Finnish especially from the girl who sat us down think her name was Annmarie nothing seemed a Hassel as we did want to move to be near the window . Guy behind the bar Luke was friendly and attentive and as already said food was great we had carvery highly recommended will be back again not worth messing about cooking when you can go here prices spit on too."

"While the food we have had from here is OK, the service and one particular incident has lost me and several of our friends and family as future customers. We booked some meals during COVID via the on-line ordering service. Doing our bit to support...local business. We collected the meals at the agreed time and everything was OK, food wise. A few months later we received a bank statement and notice we had been charged twice for the same meals. Despite telephoning and being promised someone would call me back, they didn 't. I then tried to contact them via their Contact us option on their website and sending a direct e-mail and to this day still no acknowledgement. We will not be using them again."

"We have visited this restaurant twice in the last two years each time it’s got worse. I thought we would try one last time as Barney is limited with choice and we were late bookers. Oily starters, cheese slices in the cheese garlic naan tasted like plastic and every dish tasted like a veg curry, tough meat and every main dish was not finished. Even the dog would have turned its nose up at this!! It’s ok though because we will take the naan off the bill and give you an extra chocolate. Won’t visit again, if you know anything about food, Indian or otherwise swerve this place like the wind."

"We found this absolute gem of a place a few months back and have been back regularly since. Food is absolutely beautiful, highly doubt you’ll finder a nicer one anywhere near! The staff are so lovely and the service is great. We thoroughly enjoy every visit as a family and even our children ask to go back often."

"We arrived in a busy Durham (students starting at Uni) for a meal at Alishaans. When we arrived at 5.30pm it was empty when we left it was packed out. It’s a very popular restaurant, and we can see why. Great location, smart interior, great, helpful staff and most important, the food was excellent. We had 2 courses each, a mixed platter Alishan, (tikka chicken, veg pakora, sheek kebab and a small bhuna prawn on puri) for my daughter and tandoori king prawn for me. For mains my daughter had tikka chicken Makhoni and I had the Tikka chicken Kharai. We had rice, chips, poppadoms and naan breads as sundries. All of the meal was spot on with the staff able to help with the choices. There is a sister restaurant in Sunderland too which is closer to our home but we’d have no problem visiting both. A great treat out."
