"We were heading for a night out in Great Western Road, and wandered down Byres Road. Found Banta Wala Indian restaurant, and thought we’d try it out. So glad we did! Himself had chicken pakora (lovely pieces of chicken, very lightly fried – best we’ve tasted) and I had an Indian street food, Chat (can’t remember which) which is crunchy wheat crisps with veg and spices. Very tasty, but felt a bit like eating rice crispies! Himself had Chicken Dopiaza, and I had Chicken garlic chilli. The latter was lovely and spicy, but even better with some yogurt to cool it down a wee bit. The rice and naan bread were also very tasty. Definitely be coming back; this didn’t break the bank, though the portions were generous and quite hard to finish."

"Banana leaf is the closest thing to get in glasgow authentic South Indian food. chicken dishes are absolutely brilliant, eating is spicy and served with butterparanthas. I ordered up to 4 more paranthas occasionally. the dosas are also good, the only disadvantage that they have to pay for extra sambhar. all in all, one must try."

"Chellos was the first time that we had a takeaway there and my friend collected it and it was nice there Kebab was the right size for me, I would not have managed the big, and my friend liked the Pokora and the portions you give... are great and chips were excellent dinner and a wee change for us as well as great delivery service if you chose to get it delivered but friendly my friend defo feet would say... Thumbs for us"

"Always get our home deliveries from here. Pizzas are the best iv had and always packed with topping. Really friendly and polite drivers. Went down tonight to pick up a pizza and the guy gave me a discount as he was running slightly late, very kind of him. It was also the tastiest, freshest pizza iv ever had."
