"In my opinion this is by far the best Indian in the area. Fantastic food and if they make an error, everyone does sometimes, you don’t get the problems other places give. Fantastic food at very good prices. The sauces are thick where they are supposed to be...not thin and runny like certain other restaurants near. This one is our favourit3 and we really missed it over covid closures"

"We just finished a fabulous farewell. we are 4 friends who have removed a weekend and finished with a delicious curry. each dish was delicious and all pickel and popadoms were beautiful. thanks to the staff. we were very impressed."

"If I could give a zero star then I would. I have no idea where all the and star reviews came from. The fact that some refer to the restaurant' suggests that they are fake since this is a TAKEAWAY restaurant. I ordered...a shish kebab starter which tasted of and had the consistency of reconstituted meat. Next up was a curry there is no point in specifying which one as my gut feel is that they will all look and taste the same. Opening the lid, I was faced with a thick glutinous looking brown soup as if it had been put through a liquidiser. It looked totally unappetising. The taste was, well, just hot. No subtlety of flavours that you get with a proper curry. Mouth feel was as if I was eating baby food. Supposed to have had chicken in it. I fused around in hope and came up with some square lumps of reprocessed tasteless rubbery chicken. The pilau rice was tasteless and dry. The papadum was OK. Never again for me,. Truly dire."

"Our usual takeaway was closed so having read some reviews thought we would try Abbey, not the best idea we have ever had, to be fair the mixed tandoori was pleasant although the lamb was over cooked and tough, the chicken balti was not nice at all and most of it ended up in the bin, and the nan bread, not sure what was going on there? I appreciate this are difficult times and all credit for continuing to provide a service, but this was not an enjoyable meal at all."

"The best curry I had all year round of a land mile fantastic thanks! royal naga chicken tikka and a lamb vindaloo were on the site, with the rising heat from the naga is just the right side of the jesus, which is a bit warm without being so hot, they can't eat it. the woman had a huh tikka pathia and loved it too. will definitely use them again and recommend them my with curry fans."
