"Was here for the open mic on 4/20 and unfortunately had to deal with discrimination from the waitress. She took my friends orders with no problem but when it was my turn she asked me for my age even though I just wanted food. My friend got jerk chicken which the waitress told her came with plantains and rice, but when I ordered the jerk chicken she told me it came with fries and tried to make me pay for my side of rice. Kept on asking me if I wanted my food to go when obviously I came in with a group of people we're all eating together. The food itself was wack, the chicken dry the rice was dry and tasted old. And then she brought everyone's food out on regular plates but put mine in a to-go box. If you are LGBT don't go here...they will treat you like you got the plague or something. Edit- The waitress name was Princess"

"This is a hidden gem. Great food and super portions at reasonable prices. We went before the theatre on a Thursday night and it was quiet and empty. The owner took our order with some suggestions and little fanfare. While he made it, the music came on and it was fun to hear him sing songs of his culture. Food came in to-go containers which was fine since we thought we would take some home but we were starving and ate all of it !! My husband had the goat with brocoli and joloff rice and I had the curry chicken, Mac n cheese and fried yams. It is all a little spicy but I was fine so guessing most people will be. This is not a pamper you place so ring the bell at the counter and get done great food. We ate there and it was warm and clean."
