"Having spent a lot of time in Italy I believe (maybe mistakenly) that i know a thing or two about the food. I have to say that i enjoyed my visit to Gattpardo very much. The food was excellent and good value. I'm not sure it was completely authentic Sicilian food in terms of taste, but the menu certainly is. I think the reason for this is probably because the restaurant don't have immediate access to the same range of produce they would have in their home location. Anyway the food was still very very good, service was impeccable. Would definitely go there again. Gattopardo puts the other local Italian restaurants to shame."

"Beautiful Italian restaurant in summerseat. the first time I was, and I will definitely go back. everything was cooked to order and very tasty. if I had a critique, the tomaten garlauchbrot, which we ordered as a common starter, would unfortunately have been somewhat burned down and too dry, it only needed more soaking and a minute less in many. the staff was especially friendly, especially paz, that was very chatting parking was a little tight."

"This was our first visit in the hide away after the recommendation of a friend. the format; arrive before 7:30 clock, their table is for the evening, the courses are unknown until served, there is an Italian bias, but the availability of the freshest ingredients are the decisive factor with which we felt comfortable. the decor is very clean and relaxed and the service was excellent. four courses were served, cold meat with paste, salad and fresh bread, then spicy tomato soup with chorizo, the main course was slowly cooked bark with truffle potatoes, flower cabbage, broccoli and red wine gravy, and the desert was made to house tiramisu. all foods were freshly prepared and professionally cooked and presented. because all diners are served together, there is a very relaxed rhythm in the evening. it's nothing rushed. if they like most foods and appreciate good ingredients, prepared and cooked by a talented cook, then they will enjoy a visit in the hide away."

"Been to this restaurant on several occasions but not for a few years. Greeted by friendly waitress and taken to our table. First drinks arrived promptly, food was fairly good (sea bass fillets) Unfortunately it went down hill from there. It was busy and only 2 servers on shift therefore, service was slow and second drinks took 20 minutes to arrive from ordering. During our meal the waiter arrived whilst we were mid eating using hand gestures moving our table to accommodate an additional table without actually asking us, saying thank you as he was moving it and I was actually eating from my plate. The customers sat next to us actually looked shocked as the waiter did this. The table and chairs were so close to us that the customers back was literally touching our table. It was unpleasant and uncomfortable to say the least. The waiter came back to us after 20 minutes asking if we were ok, my husband pointed out that we weren’t happy due to this additional table being placed so close to us, he replied sorry and walked away. In my 40 plus years of dining out I have never, ever had a waiter move my table as I was eating. I cannot believe we actually let this happen and continued eating despite this rude behaviour. Verona, you overcrowded your eating area without a thought for you customers, shame on you!"

"Had a really good evening here they were very accommodating when we had to add 2 more people to our booking lately. the staff was very good at it and incredibly friendly. eating as decent and the prices really good for the quality of the food. would definitely recommend, the only easy after part the restaurant was very loud, but only because it was so popular."

"Decided to eat here on a Friday night and made a last minute booking table for 2 people. We ate in the main restaurant. Arrived early expecting to have a drink in the bar as it seemed busy, but the member of staff made our table ready for us. He was very welcoming and, having never visited before, we were really impressed by the atmosphere and decor. And the size! It's like a Tardis. We had arancini to start amazing. I could have eaten this as a main, too. My husband had a pizza, which he enjoyed very much. I had chicken and potatoes. I'm not a fan of chicken on the bone but this was wonderful. For me, the best part of the meal with the tiramisu for dessert. My husband enjoyed an espresso (he'd nicked on of my arancini so was stuffed). Wonderful food. Staff were incredibly on the ball and drinks were brought out very quickly. Difficult to find the balance between speed and pushiness, the every member of staff who served us managed to do so. The only thing I would say is that I don't appreciate having a service charge added to my bill for two people dining. Whilst I generally do tip, I prefer this to be at my own discretion. On this occasion, the server removed it in advance because she had forgotten to add a side dish to our order. I honestly didn't care as I wouldn't have managed it so we tipped, but that was our choice. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Can't wait to return."
