"Had not been back here in years due to the bad service , inconsistent food quality but with a newer owner , Maria as a server, pandemic safety corrections sooooo much better! Half price wine Wednesday’s help too! Husband I got a house salad to share , shoet rib ravioli for me oh my goodness good with actual chicks of rib still wishing the pasta) he got the Puttanesca with shrimp leftovers ! Nice wine selection ... def coming back ! Great for locals !!!"

"I really wanted to get some pasta this spot had a reservation open. I saw some other reviews and was a bit nervous just because some of the reviews were harsh. I sat outside upstairs in a beautiful covered area. I ordered some hot water, the bucatini pasta (I added an egg because why not), and then the burrata pizza. I must say, everything was amazing. The bucatini pasta was so flavorful and the egg was a great touch. I do see how some people could say it's a bit salty but that doesn't bother me. The pizza was really good, I even dipped it in the pasta sauce lol. I ordered some truffle fries just because I wanted some a small snack they were good. They don't have ranch but they do have some aiolis that were great. I'd definitely come back here for that bucatini. I can honestly say it was one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time."

"100% recommend the Velour (salted caramel)! The girl behind the counter was so helpful and let us try a few flavors. I ordered the Fedora, very similar to tiramisu, and my husband had the salted caramel. Their made fresh daily waffle cones are also a must!"

"My daughter and I really like the food in all Il Foraio restaurants that we have tried (Coronado, Santa Monica and Del Mar), but we have found the settings and service of the restaurant staff at the Del Mar site to be unpleasant. The employees we treated were pretentious, unpleasant and inefficient. We waited for the service until the last time we had eaten there, that we almost gave up and left. Our water and tea glasses were never filled again, and our salad plates were sitting on the table during the duck, although we asked to remove them. My daughter loves the French toast served on Sunday brunch, but if not for the Pasta Putanesca, and that there is a long drive to another Il Fornaio site, I wouldn't return."
