"Stopped in for lunch one day and the food was excellent. Home made, fresh pasta, excellent prices, much to choose from. Real Italian food. Lots of delicious desserts. Been there several times. It's my go to whenever I visit Halifax. They alos have a shop...and I stock up on spices, gadgets, and pasta to take back home with me. They also offer take-out, call ahead and cateriing services. Friendly staff. Love this place !"

"Lunch today has me planning for an early return with friends! The soup of steamed vegetables was so much more, full of chunky chicken pieces and pasta. Really, a meal in itself. I quickly arranged to take another serving home with me. The lamb burger was equally good, served with lettuce and tomato in a very fresh bun. Just the way I like it, not too much mayo or juices that wind up dribbling down your front!. I resisted dessert which can be as simple as a cookie or something fancy. My only suggestion: put the tea bag in a proper pot not a pretty glass."

"East of Grafton is amazing. The menu is diverse to suit all tastes. The food is superbly prepared and the service we experienced was beyond comparison. Our server Alex was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It is on Argyle St., which was in the midst of construction when we visited....don't pass it by."

"A very open, yet cozy spot to spend an evening, especially when they have live music. I have visited on several occasions and have particularly enjoyed their calamari, mussels, seafood feature, feature cocktails and so much more. Honestly, it’s all so good. With convenient parking...to boot, you won’t be disappointed."

"We went to the Anchor as a family for the first time. I was excited as 2 foodie friends had raved about it. I had the arrancini and the burger. Both were delicious. Be warned that the burger does not really come with much, a few pickled vegetables. The burger although messy came with a nice slice of pork belly. My husband had the chowder and it wasn't really good. The dill was overpowering and only the potatoes were a tad undercooked. He really didn't enjoy it. The kids didn't feel there was much for them on the menu. They ended up with a French fries. These were good and we got the aoli sauce. I love aoli but this one had way to much lemon juice. Overpowering. I wouldn't tell anyone not to go. There are things on the menu I'd love to try like the donair ravioli. I probably won't be able to drag the kids there again, they'll be saying why can't we just go have pasta at Lafrasca."
