"This place is flat out amazing it's by far the best Italian food we've ever had and that covers a lot of ground , and in fact some of the best food I've ever put in my mouth, regardless of cuisine and that covers a lot more ground besides . As you'd expect from a place with such extraordinary fare, they're perpetually packed, from probably 5:30 6pm until at least 8:30, any night of the week. So come in a relaxed mood and ready to wait for a seat they don't take reservations . Patience is rewarded, impatience is not, and understandably so. Come expecting a wait, and the food will be waaay more than worth it. ! The people are also exceptionally nice, especially if you acknowledge and accept the pressure they're under, to take care of everyone. Honestly, this is our favorite restaurant by a *wide* margin; if you give it a try, I'm sure it'll become yours as well. I can't possibly recommend it highly enough; Sal bartender co owner , Anna hostess with the close cropped blonde hair , Angelo Francesco also family/partners are all amazing. Chef Anna's food is without question some of the best we've ever had anywhere, ever. I can't say more than that; this place is a rare jewel of a restaurant, among the top 2 or 3 we've experienced around the world, tucked away in a little strip mall in Roswell, GA."

"When you walk in to Portafinos the smell is mouthwatering. There were quite a few tables full and it was fairly early. They brought us herbed olive oil to Dip the crusty bread into as soon as we sat down. I had the chicken Cacciatore and it was delicious! However I will say that the veggies were extremely Al dente. I don’t mind a bit of a crunch but some might consider it a little underdone. The portion sizes are very generous so I took most of it home and enjoyed it the next day . The red wine was warm but quite nice. Husband had the homemade cannaloni and said it was outstanding. We were too full to order dessert although they sounded delish! Staff were great! "Steve 's birthday was yesterday (1-15-14), and as I 've always loved Provino 's, and they were offering a free birthday dinner, we decided to go to the Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell location. The service was excellent, our dinners just as excellent, and prices very reasonable. This is a very warm friendly restaurant and based on the crowd present on a Wednesday night, a very popular place. I think we 've found our new 'favorite ' Italian Restaurant."
