"First, the good points; The front of house staff were delightful and the breakfast tea was superb. Unfortunately however the kitchen and food were hopeless. We waited close to an hour for our food to arrive, and then it was average at best. Meals described...in the menu as including two eggs, arrived with one. Welsh Rarebit on toast had solidified. Baked beans were a small pot of mainly juice. Disappointed we wasted a valuable hour of our bank holiday. There are many better places to eat in Hove."

"We visited Brighton over the weekend and looked forward to having a Chinese meal. The quality and taste was very poor. The vegetables tasted old and we threw the curry sauce away as we have never tasted such terrible sauce. We went in person the...next day to speak to the restaurant. Had they apologized and offered a refund, the experience could have been salvaged,but they didn't. I would never revisit this restaurant."

"Brighton was lacking in decent Indian food before Curry Leaf Cafe came along. Chicken Biryani, Muttar Paneer and Punjabi Samosas in particular are great... But it's all good."

"Brilliant place that adapts all kinds of shrauch to the palette! Around the lunchtime can be busy, toilet freeze as backs on the kitchen and I think they like it out of air! conservatory nice to sit, children 4 item breakfast good size for a diet serving for an adult, egg beautiful like avocado and poached eier on toast staff! could do with menus with full options on instead of just on the boards!"

"Me and my boyfriend went for a coffee and a breakfast muffin and it turns out we both had super powers that we were unaware of... we were invisible to the naked eye. Told to order through the app which is fine we did this,...meanwhile about 10 people were served before us. The order did not go through (we followed the instructions on the table and the money came out) they did not acknowledge us when we were sitting there for nearly 40 minutes, 15 of the minutes my boyfriend was standing at the till trying to get someone’s attention whilst being blatantly ignored. Also wouldn’t hurt for one of them to crack a smile and a bit of eye contact. 50 minutes in, both freezing (door was wide open, no heating) we finally get our coffees, muffins came soon after. Coffee was nice muffin alright (be better toasted for 7 quid)... would have had better service at Mc Donald’s"
