"Walked past this place while out for dinner. Could tell straight away it would be where I was going for my coffee the next morning (you can judge a cafe by its looks!). The coffee was fabulous - way better than I expected to find in Cessnock - and while I didn't get breakfast after seeing the menu I would have been happy to."

"With a town full of great eateries, cafe on cooper needs a bit of a spruce up. It's old and drab by and feels sad sitting inside. Maybe a new colour or an updated menu. However in saying that the meals are reasonably priced.I had the Fish, Chips & Salad. The fish was nice, the salad was basic and my piece of lemon was old and I couldn't use it. When I order a salad I expect it to have a dressing on it, not given a little sachet of dressing to do it myself. As well as given a sachet of tartare sauce. You might want to rethink this Chef because I'm paying to sit in a cafe and have a meal I'm not at the local fish and chip takeaway store.All in all it was a pleasant experience, but everything is old and tired and sad even the staff need a bit of pick me up, smiling wouldn't go astray."

"One of my favourite Chinese takeaways in Cessnock.I ordered a Combination Omelette and large fried rice $23.Lots of great ingredients in the omelette, beef in it was a bit chewy, a few large prawns included. Sauce was more watery than it has been in the past but still very tasty. Fried rice had quite a few prawns, nice change from most places where you basically just get the rice fried and not much else. Very nice tasting."

"The cafe opens early which we needed to find. Great little place to go for breakfast choices with a difference. I'm sure you'll find something that will be a welcome change to the usual eggs and bacon elsewhere.The surroundings are highlighted by artworks for sale and an eclectic mix of bric-a-brac on the shelves that will keep you looking while you enjoy great coffee, great service with a smile and great brekkie."
