"The restaurant in front of Palacio de Bellas Artes is an attraction by itself. The architecture, paintings, tiles and sculptures are fascinating. Food and service were also great. On the other hand, the restaurant at Perisur Mall was disappointing. The waitresses were clearly overworked, and service was unbearably slow."

"ミラモンテス通り沿いのテレビ・アステカのすぐ近くにあるシーフードレストラン。水曜日の２０時過ぎに来店。平日の夜だったせいか店は空いていた。しかし週末は客でごった返している。オーダーの品は先ずはドリンク、ビールとクラマトのカクテルに玉ねぎの細かな角切りしたものが混ざっている。グラスのフチにはたっぷりとスッぱいタヒンの粉がまぶされている。カクテル用のエビが串に刺さっておまけに付いてくる。更にはタマリンドの果肉がたっぷりストローにペーストされている。見るからに赤の液体が情熱的でとても洒落ているが、これが鳥肌が立つほど超スッぱい。ビールの味など完全にすっ飛んでいる。刺激がほしい人はこれで良いのかもしれない。思わず舌直しに普通のビールを頼んでしまった。次はエビのカクテル。これは至って普通。先ほどのカクテルが超スッパかったので、トマトの酸味をほとんど感じない。メインはHuachinango a la talla, 真鯛だと思ってオーダーしたのだが、なんちゃって鯛（真鯛だと勝手に思った自分が悪かったのだが）だった。３０ｃｍ程度の魚の開きに極めてみりん焼きに近い料理で、味はデリケートで素材の味を上手く表現している。メキシコのシーフードレストランで魚を食べると、よく感じるのだが、ソースや調味料の味が強すぎて素材の味が打ち消されているように感じることが多い、しかし、このレストランはそうではない。連れがLomo de Robalo en aceite de cilantroという料理をオーダーしたが、シラントロの香味やピリ辛いソースの味が強すぎて素材の旨みが打ち消されてしまうのではないかと思ったが、しっかり魚の味を表現していた。日本人は魚といえば塩、醤油の調味料を思い浮かべてしまうのだが、このレストランの優秀な料理人に日本の醤油を与えて、メキシコ風にアレンジしたら、どのような繊細な料理が出てくるのか楽しみだ。今度、やってみよう！"
