"We sat in the outside of the caffe. the service couldn't call me the cake offer and sent me to the counter inside. the coworker there also did not know which cakes are offered. After I tried my luck at the third service and got a very good answer, I gave up my plan to eat a piece of cake."

"I love the food here- it is expensive and the portions are not huge- but it is always great! I read about this place a few years back in Lufthansa magazine and figured I would try it- glad I did. We have a satellite facility...near here (SudWest Park) and once during the stay I bring colleagues here for dinner- they always leave raving about the atmosphere and the cooking. There is also a Guest House and an outdoor biergarten in the Summer months attached to the place if you are on the south side of Nuremberg City. One of the specialties that I really enjoy is the Venison. Also the chef sends out small appetizers prior to the main course that are always excellent! Great food and atmosphere- prices are not exorbitant but high with smaller portions. I recommend both the restaurant and Guest House.."

"On the river? Yes. Very traditional decor? Yes. Then add generations of tradition, the softest, lightest dumplings ever created, pork that falls apart as your fork touches it, hilarity of guests breaking into song as they toast their schnapps, sisters and Mom lovingly creating food...and fun this is a must find tiny, warm, welcoming, English spoken, you will leave laughing and smiling."

"We were looking for a place to have lunch when we came across Restaurant Sebald. When we inquired about a table, we felt like it was an imposition, so we left. Thank you, Restaurant Sebald, because of your lack of warmth, we found Etzerdla. Even though the gentleman at Etzerdla could not speak English, he made us feel welcome in his restaurant and we were offered menus right away. My husband had the daily special, which had cold fish and delicious potato pancakes. I had a huge vegetarian omelet, a side of potato salad and sparkling water. We shared a half litre of beer. Everything was tasty and fresh. All for 23.50€!This restaurant's washrooms were perfectly clean. We would definitely return to Etzerdla!"
