"Since my husband and I eat here several times a month, it 's high time I wrote a review! We only frequent 2 cafe 's in Hanley and this is the one we use most. I will touch on the 4 topics that we all want to know when trying somewhere new. 1. Food In the American South (my natural habitat) we would call the food like this down home cookin ' , true comfort food. No Tadpole Elbows, Sparrows Knees, or Tiger Toes a la 'mode. Just good to your toes, honest cooking. 2. Service Everyone here is cheerful freindly and up for a laugh. This is the type of place where a lot of people are regulars. This is one of two cafe 's I take my Mother to when she visits (Mom is English but has lived in the US for 61 years), this reminds her she is in England once again. This is our first stop when our Granddaughter makes her yearly visit as she insists on her fish and chips!! The service is part of the reason we all keep coming back! 3. Value Most assuredly best value for the money! 4. Atmosphere This is a very relaxed cafe and the minute I walk in I am comfortable and feel welcome. I feel as if I am a person ordering a meal....not just a sales receipt !!! Overall...keep it up you wonderful employees.....I Love Munchies!!!"
