"We have come to this restaurant for a few years now. A few years back, the restaurant did not allow reservations. I had no issue with that. We would just try our luck, but thanks to their change, we can make reservations now, which is much better because if you knew the restaurant was full, you would change your plan right away to go somewhere else.It's a very popular place in that area. They have lots of take out orders. One time we decided to buy take outs instead when there were no tables available, we were surprised that waiting time was 45 mins.Taste-wise, it has been quite consistent, and if there was any change, it was a change for the better. However, I see obvious improvements on presentation and choosing ingredients.The service is always good. One year, we decided to hold a family party there with 20+ people. They tried every way to make it an enjoyable dinner despite the kids were noisy and fussy at times.My favourite food on the menu is "Love Plum". Plum was the main ingredient inside, but it's wrapped with a thin slice of daikon. The older version of daikon was a bit stiff and didn't wrap very well (although the taste was great). They have improved by using a much thinner daikon that's softened, so it wraps nicely on the sushi roll and didn't compromise on the taste.My husband loves the grilled salmon or hamachi gill. Super super good!A few years back, I would have given it 4 stars, but it certainly deserves 5 stars now. It's not easy to find a restaurant that gets better over the years. A lot of them would just be the same or some may even slide backwards in either their taste or services once they thought they had captured the market. This makes me think that these people at Hitoe not just work hard, they work with their hearts.I hope their attitude will not change!"
