"I went to the Soba bar alone to dinate after a concert in Oran Mor, although I appeared without booking it accommodated. The service was exemplary, they didn't plan and interact, they seemed much more intuitive; they came when things were done or when I was looking for help. I had dumplings and chicken saté, without exaggeration these were the best either I had EVER! The dumplings were slightly fried and had a lush filling. The saté tasted carved, but juicy with a slight slipping of roasted peanuts and the sauce was shiny and rich. I had the chicken catsu for the main, and I will be damned: in 15 years dining room UK wide I 've not a combination of just enough rice to chicken ratio that is rare (usually cheaper / tasty places bulk on rice). The katsu it's self was exceptionally crispy while it is juicy and visually pleasant! Only excellent food, exceptionally executed. I asked to start water (usually these elicits a 'eurgh' and rolled eyes) and it was nice while I leafed the beverage menu. I had an old fashion, a chocolate orange coffee martini and a Russian sailor. All were made aesthetic and olfactory! The old fashion was brilliant, a must! Often people forget to splash with citrus to bind in the bouquet, but it was all there! The Martini was decadent, but not excessive, and the Russian sailor was new to me... Really creamy, but balanced. I spent over 3 hours there, was rushed, was expertly supervised, the staff could't have been more recording. The shocker? The bill. I thought it was twice as much as I paid. I often dine alone (especially due to work/commitments) and I find you 're usually neglected, it's accepted you 'll be a low yield like to buy and I'll accept top. It was the opposite in Bar Soba, my service was as big as anyone around me, and even though I was the last person there, have they never even offered me the cheque you like? I will definitely be back, new Asian favorite with a killer drink menu! I appreciated the service, food, drink and gourmet of everything. Seriously, forget the other places in Byres Road, go here, even if it's for finger food and a drink."

"Makes the Grade. From the outside it does not look promising. However, once inside it is special. A truly funky interior and a choice of seating makes it ideal for any number of patrons. There is plenty of space and it has a great atmosphere. The menu is large and varied and there are various offers. I had the 2 course lunch at £9:95 and both dishes were generous and tasty. Their cocktail list is also worth a look and I look forward to trying these on my next visit !! recommended."
