"I came for lunch here with an old friend when visiting Melbourne for business. What a fantastic, hidden gem this is! I wish there was a similar place in Sydney. Hidden down Postal Lane, the atmosphere is bustling and energetic. The food itself is also great value for $15, I had a very sizeable don served in a medium large wooden bowl with multiple small sides which included some nice sushi, an actual edible salad (not rabbit food) and a little croquette. I have made a mental note of where this place is. I will definitely retrace my steps to come back here again!"

"One of my favorite places to go! Delicious food and great portion sizes! The Satay sauce is my favorite dish. The fried rice is good too! Love to spice up my dish with a 5!"

"My score 4.5 stars. I got takeaway from here about 5 weeks ago. A long trek up stairs but worth it service was laid back but lovely. I got: Veggo Lasagne didn't look great but was top notch comfort food even meat eaters would love it! Spinach pastry once again looked pretty plain but was really good. Bean Croquette – very moreish (gonna get more next time). Beetroot salad Chickpea salad – both tasty healthy. I also had a Lemon ginger juice for the trip home – fantastic!"

"Headed down to our beloved Noodle Kingdom for a dumpling fix and was surprised to find the swanky new Mr Kwok in it's place. A quick look at the menu found some of our favourites still on offer so we decided to give it a go, then sat down to investigate what happened. A quick look at their FB page says "Noodle Kingdom - the next generation" but unfortunately for us, the bits they spruced up couldn't make up for their major let down - a panfried pork dumpling fail. What they got right: At first glance the flash decor looks appealing (Noodle Kingdom was dying for a refresh) but the floating walls have tightened up the space giving it a feel more claustrophobic than cosy. Maybe it's early days but the clear lack of customers and usual boisterous banter also made it feel a bit sterile. The place needs to get worn in a little bit. Service was excellent - couldn't fault it, and the revamp of a few dishes on the entree list like the salt n pepper chicken ribs and sweet n sour pork were both pretty and delicious. What they got wrong: Oh the dumplings! Gone is the plateful of golf ball sized pan-fried juicy pork goodness we used to watch being made in the window - replaced with 6 forlorn little half moons, more cabbage than piggy. *insert sad face here*. Then to add insult to our injury the spring onion pancake came out last - chewy, cold, overdone. Bugger. Comment from the boy - "I feel like I haven't eaten".I have no doubt Mr Kwok will be a delight for some and hopefully find a new following. For old patrons though it might be time to move up to Little Bourke for a new quick and dirty."
