"I didn’t mind paying $24 for Bulgogi, but I was ripped off. The amount I got (see the picture) was mainly veggies and then some dry beef. The other dishes are similarly disappointing. The Korean pancake was burnt on one side, and the beef japchae had barely any meat. Not a great dinner."

"Sala Thai has really good food. Really happy to have them in the neighborhood and I particularly like their Sunday special and other things I have gotten have been good as well. Good spice, flavor, and portions. Where they lose a star is their service/speed. I saw another review where they assumed they only start cooking once they open, and I feel like that may be accurate. Now, I'm not expecting this to be fast food, but if you get a take out estimate, you probably should double the time before you expect the food. That same logic probably applies to in restaurant dining. Be prepared to wait. If you have the expectation that the food won't be ready for an hour twenty minutes, instead of forty like they say, then maybe it'll be easier to get to five stars. Definitely recommend for the food, but adjust your understanding of time before heading in."

"We love Lao Laan-Xang at their Williamson Street location, so I was excited to try their Atwood location. I'm happy to report the food was just as good! I'm not sure if there were differences in the menus themselves, but they seemed quite similar.<br>

Everything we ate was fresh with lots of complimentary flavors and textures. We enjoyed the pork egg-rolls and spicy sausage. The beef salad was spicy and amazing. The larp was outstanding. Like most southeast Asian food, the flavors were a mix of sweet, salty, sour, spicy, and everything was fresh. For either location, the food at Lao Laan-Xang seems to be spot-on.<br>

The main difference was in the atmosphere and the service. While the Williamson location has a quirky, I'm eating at my Lao neighbor's house feel, the Atwood location has a professional restaurant feel. It also has a more complete bar w/specialty cocktails. "I like spicy! China Wok is about the only Chinese restaurant in the city that ask a decent amount of spices into their food if you ask for it extra spicy. Good quality also for spices. Not only hot. Family property, and fast service for pickup."

"I ordered $90 of food for my family. Their large shrimp fried rice only had 5 pieces of shrimp! I ordered a dozen shrimp egg rolls 3 of them didn't even have shrimp in them. They got my order wrong on top of it and gave us almost all rice and about 4 spoon fulls of vegetables and a few pieces of chicken. I called to complain and the woman working claimed we didn't order the items and then I told her about the small portions of meat, vegetables shrimp and she proceeded to call me a liar and hung up on me. Will never order from here again. Food is mediocre"

"Super cute little place. Has lots of seating including outdoor seatings and an indoor courtyard area. Got the blackberry mint lemonade which was amazing and the Larry sandwich which was also delicious. My friends got the breakfast burrito, one of the egg sandwiches and the eggs Benedict and we all really enjoyed the food. Happy I stopped in and will definitely be going back for more!"
