"I tried Fat Boy Thai Kitchen because I found it in the Entertainment Book (which makes me try new places I might not otherwise go to). It 's quite small inside, so I 'd definitely make a booking as there were a couple of bigger parties seated. There is an upstairs section, but I don 't know how big it is up there. One thing I loved was that you couldn 't see into the kitchen. I don 't love that about restaurants, and was happy not to be able to look in.<br/ <br/ The menu doesn 't stand out from other Thai restaurants. I got my usual Chicken Curry Puffs and my Chicken Fried Rice. The curry puffs were nice, but not outstanding. The fried rice was good, but also nothing more amazing than elsewhere. <br/ <br/ When the entrees came out, the waitress didn 't ask who ordered what. She just put things down in front of all of the wrong people. It came out in a good time frame, but that was a little 'unprofessional ' if I 'm going to be picky. The staff were friendly though, and very accommodating when it came to menu modifications. They got it all right and that 's a big plus with me.<br/ <br/ The only other slight negative was that because the restaurant is quite small, when people wait for their take out orders, they almost stand on top of your table waiting. It 's kind of awkward for both them and the diners, but at least some didn 't have to wait too long.<br/ <br/ Overall, I 'd recommend Fat Boy Kitchen if you 're in the area. It 's a good half hour drive for me, so I wouldn 't visit again necessarily unless I was in the area (and parking can be really bad), but it 's well priced, reasonable and friendly service, and tasty."

"Wanting a quick meal on a busy weeknight we decided on this little restaurant on the way home from work. There were no other people in the restaurant which we probably should have taken as a sign. The waiter spoke English (not fluently) but quickly...took our order in a very respectful manner and headed off to the kitchen. Our meal came out very quickly. We had chosen Prawn Gong Coo Chee, Prawn Special Fried Rice and Beef Mussaman. I would describe the food as average; there was none of the spice filled delights I am accustomed to from good Thai and both the Gong Coo Chee and Mussaman were swimming in liquid more the consistency of a soup than a nice sauce. Halving said that there was nothing bad about the food either! The price was right only $38 for three courses and spring rolls. The serving serves were on the smaller size but couldn’t be described as”not enough”. I would be happy to have paid more for better quality. I don’t think I will be calling in here again!"

"The food is good and is typical of Australian Thai cuisine. This time the staff were very busy and we finished up with a gluten dish. If you need to avoid gluten you should probably not go..."
