"We decided to eat at this restaurant with the intent to have an authentic fondue Chinoise. It was a curious situation in the beginning when we wanted to order the fondue, as the waiter gave us somewhat of a warning, if not a deterrent, against...ordering it. After asking, we were told that it might be that we wont find the Fondue Chinoise to our liking, and that most customers who previously tried the Fondue didn't like the sauces they had for it. Having encountered similar situations, we went ahead and ordered the Fondue, as that was our target. When they brought out the platter of things for the Fondue, we guessed what could be the reason behind his warning, and possibly the problem other guests encountered with it previously. That is, their version of Fondue Chinoise is not even close, to the version popular in Switzerland. It is not just beef and vegetables to be cooked in broth. Theirs is an authentic Fondue Chinoise version with two different broth, spicy and normal. Aside from pork and beef slices, there are pork stomach (which we loved), fish and squid balls, crab sticks etc. Definitely not the boring version of fondue chinoise. Ergo; if you are looking for an authentic Fondue Chinoise, this restaurant is the place to go. It is therefore disappointing to hear that some customers didn't like their Fondue version, without considering the fact that the swiss version is so different from the authentic chinese version."
