"I've always had my food delivered from Mak Mak and haven't actually been to the place. I'm a Thai food lover and lived in Thailand for a few months, so I know what typical tastes like, and this isn't exactly it (I was a bit disappointed the first time I ordered because the name of the restaurant is super Thai)! Although the food isn't very typical, it's good, and prices are good too. I will likely order again. If you're a new customer, I wouldn't hesitate to try it."

"Was here for the first time with some friends to have Thai food for the first time. Food was great! Staff was amazingly friendly and always available. Water kept getting refilled. Had a lovely evening, thank you!"

"This was my fist time at this restaurant and having dim sum. Overall the experience was a pleasant one there was a variety of choices, and although we felt rushed at the beginning, the servers quickly backed off and let us eat at our...leisure. And eat we did! We split the bill evenly among of us and each paid tip and taxes included. Well worth it. The restaurant itself is bright, clean and on this day, was full of sunshine. It was fun!"

"It wasn't expensive so that saves it, and you can bring your own wine. For us it was Two enjoyed it and the other two just wanted something else. There is always someone there so i guess it is good for some and not...so for others. I think everyone should at least try a place once and take critics' as that .. critiques. The servers barely spoken English (or French) .. seems that the ONE who did was everywhere, helping."

"We had such a wonderful experience the first day we were here. The food was good and the staff was friendly and attentive, so we decided to go back the next day. Unfortunately, we did not receive the same service the next day. In contrast to our initial experience, someone sat us at the table without explaining the specials. Another came about 5 minutes later, without greeting or introduction and asked us if we were ready to order. Our drinks and meals arrived at the same time. No one checked to see how our meal was going. We could not get out of there fast enough. I’m not sure what made the difference between the first and second day (we did arrive about an hour later in the second day) but we did not feel welcome. The food was good on both days, it was just the service that was sub-par on the second day. I hope no one else gets this experience."

"My wife and I had dinner here last night. Despite not booking they had a table for us. Service was quick and food was good. I had spring roll and chicken chow mein. Only downside was after paying the bill the waitress returned to advise that the tip should have been minimum 15%. Coming from Scotland not used to this 'culture'. So would recommend as long as you're aware of this unwritten rule."

"I just wanted to recommend the Shanghai restaurant for the quality of it's food. I had the opportunity last night to sample some of their dishes and was quite impressed. I tried the Shrimp in lobster sauce/rice and the chicken chop sue. We began with...the hot and sour soup follwed by peanut butter dumplings. Price are commensurate with this type of establishment. Good service and clean. Parking on the street."
