"Interesting menu, friendly greetings at the door, and fun decor including a vending machine full of Japanese treats! We arrived at 1730 on Saturday and it's good we had reservations. It was packed from the get go. The drink service was quick, as was the applies and main. The food is a funky fusion of Southwest,Italian, and Mexican with a Japanese twist. We'll be back, especially for more shaka shaka fries!"

"My visit to Bistro Praha was quite pleasant. The fare was simple but cooked excellently. I had the schnitzel cordon bleu. The schnitzel was crispy on the outside and gooey with cheese on the inside, I had the potato salad on the side. The salad was nice but sadly there was only one small scoop of it. Overall it was a decent meal that didn't break the bank."

"WOW! Ordered a takeout lunch for 12 people and the delicious food was enjoyed by everyone.Had a selection of yummy pasta, tasty salads and massive thin crust pizzas. Lots of compliments from my team.Jason was super helpful when I placed the order and had everything piping hot ready on time.Highly recommend eating here."

"My thee-person family came here in mid-December for the first time following the death of a family member who had loved this restaurant (owned by Edmonton's Sorrentino's Group) - she had wanted to take us here after she got out of the hospital... I could see why she had loved the atmosphere: romantic, dimly-lit, classic and elegant, with some very private, romantic booths for couples - and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was a quiet Wednesday, which surprised me because that's BYOW wine night (small corkage fee). We were treated like family by the wait staff, joined some regular diners for a drink, were introduced to the manager, had a few laughs with a wonderful male waiter, and enjoyed a memorable night in honor of our much-loved relative. The Linguine Frutti di Mare was good, although a little thin on the white wine sauce, the Bison Cannelloni ($18-$24) was excellent, and my 8-oz. top sirloin ($30) was perfect. The only proviso: we ordered the $14 Crispy Calamari as an appetizer for three (after asking the server if it was enough) but it was truly not even enough calamari for one person. The female server got a little testy when we complained. I know squid prices have risen, but $14 for a tiny handful? Anyway, a few weeks later, there we were again on a BYOW Wednesday, and again it was surprisingly quiet - but enlivened by our funny wait-guy (sorry, can't remember his name) and two regular patrons who swear they come here three times a week. The pasta was great, once again. Sitting at the back of Century Park plaza, it would be easy to miss this beautiful, romantic restaurant and its lovely wine bar, which would make a great after-work stop. South Edmonton diners should continue to show this place a little love: Bistecca's deserves it."
