"Disappointing visit, not enough staff, payment method in bar/grill down so had to wait 30mins at reception to pay, where only 1 member of staff was on duty and she was busy with disgruntled visitors disputing their bills total shambles and very unprofessional service all round Maybe an off day?"

"We thought we had booked a table in the restaurant but it was shut so we were seated in the pub part with no explanation as to why!? It was very noisy and the steak I had was terrible. Myself and partner had gone for an overnight stay and a nice meal but the meal part of it spoilt it for us"

"A wonderful lunch. The carvery was perfect and the beef divine. The chef (Matt) couldn’t do enough for us. There was plenty of choice of food and all of it pipping hot. The rest of the staff were very attentive (especially Leah) and constantly asked us if everything was OK. It was truly a memorable meal and I can’t wait to go back. Thanks to all at the Village Hotel."
