"Funny enough, I've been walking through years pass by of the Al Teatro Restaurant and Pizzeria and somehow it was never at a mealtime! However, a few days ago I paid attention and thought that living in Zug (part-time) I'm always trying to find new eateries in town and no offense to all other Italian restaurants and pizzerias, but I've tried most of them and they just won't do it for me! I'm not a huge fan of pizzas or pasta for that matter, however, when I eat one, it has to be a good one and Al Teatro was one off my radar for years. So I decided to give it a try and what a surprise!!! Not only their choice of pizzas is incredible long but also they accommodate your personal requests of toppings. Regardless of that fact, the pizzas are just and simply sublime! Thin and crispy. Fresh and tasty home made tomato sauce. Good fresh mozzarella cheese (not swimming in grease!) and richly garnished with fresh topping ingredients. No question, best pizza I've ever had in Switzerland in the last 38 years! I hate to write this review because I hope, I won't end up spoiling their product by writing it in English but I owe it to them for having ignored them for soooooo long!"

"This is a nice place which underwent a renovation last year.... the new concept is focused on one thing: COST SAVINGS! so after the renovation you could easily noticed that although the same amount of staff are around the service went downhill, portions are smaller specially for salads and prices went UP... i believe food is nice and follow the concept of healthily food, however when you as customer feel that your are paying more for less then is not fair. The so called "combo" is in the end much more expensive compared to what one used to pay before the renovation.... perhaps management will need to re-evaluate the concept specially the one related to portion sizesKids are not really welcome, there are not highchairs, neither child menus..."
