"Easy-going take out place serving excellent sandwiches. The menu is limited but still has vegetarian options. I loved the falafel sandwich. The service is excellent, too. The guy running it was very nice and recommended some delicious sauces. Probably the most reasonably priced food selection...in the center of Bern."

"Been to this restaurant for lunch after read the review. We ordered two big dishes, they're very salty! We asked for 2 cups of hot water to go with the food, it came as 3 CHF per cup! It was not mentioned anywhere nor pointed out by the waitress on additions charges. We then spoke with the manager before paying to point out that these charges should be clear up front, and we felt unfair with these charges. However, the manager's altitude was poorly and he was telling us that we're in the wrong country because we informed him that these charges should have been made clear at the beginning. After travelling around Switzerland for almost a month, we have never expected such a terrible customer service! Despite the waitress was very friendly and served us well, the management was terrible - not listening to suggestions (we didn't even complaint apart from the manager telling us how he runs the business by making money from drinks and so on.) We're not in the wrong country but definitely in the wrong resultant! There're better places to have food in the square, avoid this one if you don't want to be ripped off."

"Went there with my husband for dinner. The service is very friendly they are quick in serving the food. The winter garden is cozy and warm to sit in also during winter time. On top of that it‘s not a noisy surrounding at all. You can mainly get Swiss food and also meat on a hot stone (really recommendable). It‘s an earthy simple restaurant and if you go there in the evening you will be able to get to see how a traditional swiss tavern looks and feels like. The prices are very very nice and you can get a decent amount of dishes around 16 up to 22 swiss francs which is quite cheap. Only negative aspect they only have like 2 dishes for vegans, a veggie platter which is all kinds of veggies. Sadly this dish is a little bit expensive with 23 swiss francs and it doesn‘t come with a lot of veggies on it. There are also fries and gnocchi and spaghetti with tomato sauce you can choose, but I am not quite sure if the pasta is vegan. So not recommendable if you are vegan or vegetarian"

"I enjoyed my dinner very much. As a starter I took a simple tomato salad: very good! I chose the Ossobucco as main course: ok. It was the first time the food wasn't extremely good. I've visited this place over 5 times and each time...the food was simple, yet excellent. I can only recommend it."

"Good pizzas (woodstove, take-away at surprisingly low prices . Also has a rather small but inviting menu (often a good sign! with fresh and seasonal Italian dishes. Horrible location right next to the freeway, though."

"What has changed? The once great service was now surprisingly poor. Although many tables were free, we were only given the choice between the table directly by the toilet or a table in the aisle. Finally we were given a table for four with the threat that if anyone else came, they would be seated next to us. Even though everyone in service was rushing around hectically and the restaurant was already empty, you had to wait a long time for service. The mussels were sensational as always. When paying with a credit card directly at the bar, the waitress pushed me into the aisle with a short excuse me because she had to go to the cutlery and pushed me back in front of the credit card terminal with a second short excuse me because she had to go through the aisle ."
