"What a wonderful meal! I came here with 3 other diners and we decided to order numerous dishes and all share (this is my favorite way to dine!).We ordered the shrimp in a brandy sauce, deep fried calamari, and bruschetta to start with. The calamari was by far my favorite. Made more like a ceviche instead of deep fried, this calamari had a light and simple flavor and was also very tender. The shrimp in the brandy sauce interesting – my co-diners loved it. The bruschetta was delicious, though I would have liked a bit more crisp.For our entrees we decided to go with pizzas only. We ordered the salmon and capers pizza, the mediterranean, and as well as a special that had chicken and bacon. We ordered only 3 since we were quite stuffed with the delicious starters.The mediterranean pizza (my choice) was the one I was most excited about. With a pesto and tomato sauce and marinated chicken it was delicious - the flavors were there, and the crust tasted coal fired, - only I feel that the pieces of the chicken on the pizza were a bit less. The other two pizzas, the special and the salmon pizzas were also delicious and well cooked.All the pizzas had generous amounts of cheese – the one thing I look for when eating a pizza in a restaurant.The service was attentive though it was a busy Friday night.All in all the meal was fabulous. Great food, great wine, and great company!"

"Love this place.Have been many times. Never more than a 5 minute wait to be sat.Pros: The chicken parmigiana is delicious. So is the bruschetta, served on crispy bread. They also serve focaccia bread at the table with a balsamic dip. The house red is pretty good too. Service is speedy and the price is very reasonable for Italian. Also street parking is available."

"Great spot for take out! There is very little seating inside so don't plan on eating in with the family. Located in a small strip mall on lavington. They make the best Portuguese BBQ chicken as well as pizza. The pizza has gone downhill after...new ownership- however still good and would prefer this over any chain pizza place!"

"We love this Restaurant. We are always greeted warmly, seated quickly as we always book a table and show up ON TIME not like all guests. If we are going to be late we call and inform them. Once seated we are always attended to to and the service is exemplary. The food is to die for and the Wine selection is exquisite and reasonably priced. <br/ <br/ Best French restaurant this side of the Atlantic!<br/ <br/ Colm and Rita."

"Since this place is right by my house, we couldn't wait to try it out. Why? The neighbourhood is a bit dull, and most of the bars and restaurants around here are boring, dated, and full of date-time drunks. West City Snack Bar looked so much different at first glance. With beautiful decor, a nice environment, and a small but good looking menu, made it look like the neighbourhood was changing.We stopped in for lunch, and checked out, like I said, their fairly small menu. We ended up going with the burgers and a side order of fries. Surprisingly, these 2 burgers, 2 fries, and a bottle of water came to just over $30. The food was pretty good, but it wasn't great. The burger patties are super small, about half the size of the bun, and they came with one small onion ring for garnish. The fires were fantastic though. All in all, it was a pretty good experience, but for the location, it is just way too expensive. It just seemed like whoever opened this place did not do their research as to who lives in the area. They serve downtown food, for downtown prices, in a neighbourhood that probably wont go for it."

"The service was great but the food was lacking. The $32 dollar three course meal was a laugh. If you order the salmon, you get a strip of salmon no wider or longer than the fingerling potatoes. The ribs were also overcooked. This restaurant has definitely lost its luster."
