"This is a small restaurant with an interesting and varied interior. Tables are situated on three different floor tiers, with varying degrees of privacy. The host is friendly and engaging. In the three months I lived in Karlsruhe I visited L'incontro several times. The menu...is expansive with various pizzas, risotto, fish (particularly mussels) and pasta with homemade pasta noodles. The wine list is short, but features good quality wines. Unlike in America where wine by the glass is usually bad, in Germany one can expect decent table wine by the glass. All the meals I had were well prepared and tasty and the tiramisu is really excellent but very large. It's enough for two people and tastes best with their freshly brewed espresso."

"Visit a nearby customer, we were looking for a place to lunch and the salesman with whom I was, said they can find in the regular a pizza place near the local football field the decor was what one would expect for a place that served football fans...and player service was fast and the calzone that I had had been piping hot and very tasty what they had to offer was"

"The restaurant is not the cheapest and doesn't have that many vegan options but the staff is very nice and I tried nearly all options and they were always very good! There is one vegan pizza, a potato bake, a pasta dish and salads. I bet they will make you more vegan pizzas if you ask! Also there are a lot vegetarian dishes."

"I was here yesterday for the second time and again the day dish had already gone out and so, if I wanted to take a warm meal to me, I had only the choice between 3 or 4 different flame cakes. the chosen flame cake with lachs and ruccola was quite fit, but m.E. definitiw too expensive. In the morning I got myself from the theke a covered bun - that was very ok, but also too expensive. So I can only repeat what heiner m. left before me here: "it is just more a cafe for between...with no special note.""

"The bad weather and a late appointment led me to an evening visit at the hotel restaurant grosse linde in durlach. the restaurant infiltrates the charm of a railway restaurant of the sixties. through a glazed swing door you enter into a brightly illuminated dining room, high wood paneled, white tablecloths with red-pattern table runners, the furniture not really old but old-fashioned. a friendly service, not really old, but also no longer bloody, brings the menu integrated in brown plastic, each sheet again protected by clear-sighted cover. through the oil-cracked, the work of the chef can be seen, a voluminous herr in medium years. the menu has no surprises - carvings, roasted, salmon, all standards of so-called petty-bourgeois cuisine (can someone help me with an antagonistic contrary concept too bourgeois.)? I decide for a strassburger wurstsalat, that you can't do much wrong. first pleasant surprise: my special desire bratkartoffeln as a supplement is fulfilled without any condition. after less than ten minutes, the order is brought to the table. the sausage salad - a dream from the time when my oma still made him for me. best lyoner, cut in very fine stripes, not the rough product, which can be bought in the wholesale trade already. the fine emmental who was attached to the sausage in the correct mixing ratio. thin sliced schalotte rings and finest radishes give the simple food opulence, also the dressing is homemade and tastefully perfectly matched - probably a hauch of senf in the game. the bratkartoffeln, fried in a little fat crispy and arronized with sliced pitches added at the last moment, the whole ground beautifully decorated - perfect. the whole soaked in for eleven-five, extremely hospitable price position. Normally, my emotions are reserved to the family, but in this case I would like to hug the cook and thank him for the dear ones he gives to his profession, his ingredients and his guests through his work. the luck sometimes finds unexpected places."

"The restaurant Italy-Italy is, in my opinion, the best Italian restaurant in Karlsruhe. It lies in a quiet street without much traffic, Herrenstrasse, and therefore sitting at the terrace while having a good drink may be delightful. The inner decoration is superb, especially the wall...colours and the lamps hanging from the ceiling at a middle height between it and the floor. The original design of the tube through which runs the cable near the plate and the lamp plates themselves combine very well with each other to give an attractive effect. The light tonality coupled with the wall colours and the rest of the decoration makes any sensitive being feel like living in a prodigious place. The chairs are very comfortable and the music is not at all disturbing. By and large therefore, one could not find a better atmosphere in a Karlsruhe Italian restaurant. The food in the said restaurant is of the utmost quality. All the products and ingredients used to prepare the dishes listed on the menu are fresh and the best which can be found in the market. Besides, the dishes are prepared with much care, thus paying attention to every single detail. I ordered spaghetti aglio e olio and it was very tasty and delicious, all components having been properly cooked with much experience and care. The staff members are very kind, helpful and reliable. Albeit they are nearly always very busy they spare no effort to attend the customers in the best possible way. It’s therefore, by all means, a recommendable place to eat."
