"It's dark and grubby, the staff were indifferent and forgetful. We went here just because we are trying to eat in every restaurant in Kingston and try a different place every time we go. I found the mussel special with pesto and pancetta to be quite tasty but my husband had to wait while his fish and chip order was corrected on a wait staff error. In my experience this was just another pub in a city where pubs are plentiful and I can't find anything to make me recommend it as an exceptional place."

"I visited Kingston this weekend with family and needed to find a place to have dinner. We agreed to try an Italian restaurant and Frankie's was the place we chose. Based on the reviews from various sources, it seemed like a decent restaurant. I want to start off by saying the staff were very friendly, professional and ready to assist - my family and I were very satisfied from that front. The satisfaction IMMEDIATELY went downhill after our food came. Dishes we ordered: A pizza to share and pasta. The pizza very undercooked and the toppings were massive. It seemed as though an entire green pepper was cut into 6 pieces. I ordered a carbonara and when it came, I was completely thrown off. The sauce was EXTREMELY watery, there was no flavor. The waiter was nice enough to provide me with another plate of pasta however the overall taste was not so good. I have never written a review on trip advisor but felt inclined to share my poor eating experience at this restaurant. Again, friendly staff that means well but chefs are either new and don't know how to cook or do not care about their profession."

"Stopped in with family on a Saturday night. Our server Brenda was outstanding, and before too long we had drinks and placed our order. The food arrived hot, tasty, and just as ordered. Worth stopping here!"

"I have been to europe, far east, middle east , asia best french toast ever , arrive early as they have line ups , if you’re planning a drive from Toronto to Ottawa , plan to eat your breakfast here. Quiche was vegetarian and excellent, cheeses are halal but always ask again. Huge dining area , excellent service"

"Ordered some chicken plates, with extra sides of tzatziki and greek salads for a family picnic. We got all set up in the park, everybody was ready to dig in, only to find that stuff was missing from our order. No salad dressing, no tzatziki orders or buns, like we paid for. Made for a really ho-hum lunch. Seriously: have you ever ate a dry greek salad? What a let down.The chicken, rice, potatoes and veg were delish, but it would have been nice to have had everything that what we paid for."
