"Update 10/4/2016: <br> <br> Just learned that they are a lot like a McDonald's - but the food is better.<br> <br> Stopped in for dinner and noticed they had a Roasted Chicken Pot Pie on a two can dine for special and that it is available all day. Being by myself I tried to order just one but was informed they don't have a key for that so it is unavailable. <br> <br> Thought that they were a real restaurant and that only McDonald's was that incompetent.<br> <br> =========================================<br> <br> Previous Visits:<br> <br> Ordered a new item off the insert - 6 oz fillet w/ peppercorn cream sauce and mushrooms, salad, and asparagus for the $0.99 up-charge.<br> <br> The meal came out perfectly. The steak was cooked as ordered along with the asparagus and mushrooms. The sauce was great and completed the dish and presentation.<br> <br> After a decade or so of eating here a few times a month it is nice to see them upgrading their menu from the good, but highly predictable, fare of the past. Perhaps they have... <a class="read-more" href="#">read more</a>"

"I'm here with a friend on the last Wednesday for lunch. we left our workstation at 12 noon and arrived at 15.00. we found sitting for us on a stand in the middle of the dining room floor, but decided to wait there for a few minutes that we wanted to be closer to the action. we moved into the bar, which gives them a direct line to the stainless steel grill. we also had a better look at the bumper stickers that cover almost the vent hood. <br br>/ we are both fans of the two, so we have ordered. I have a double tweebelburger with salad, tomato and pickles. I have added ketchup and screed after it was served. it was hard to keep when it came to me because it was so hot. that is a positive feature in my judgment. I also liked the fact that they did not pour on the tomato or the pickles. if they don't like many pickles, make sure they only ask one or two. <br br>/ the bungalows and burgerpatties were the same size; I don't like it when you're bigger than the others. there was no intense wobble taste while I had eaten the burger, but a pleasant onion fruit aftertaste stayed in my mouth all afternoon. the bungalow fell apart almost from all burger, tomato, salate and picelle juice before I had eaten the burger. are they aware when they are like me and cannot stand that their hands are tacky out of all these. there was nothing remarkable about the bungalow. it was a standard food service grad burger bungalow. <br br>/ total, the zwiebelburgers here are comparable to what I had at sid’s in el reno. they are not as good as tucker’s onion burger or nic’s grill, but they are definitely worth a return trip. service was friendly and fast."

"(Oct 14, 2015) Visited Gyro City again, to see how well they were doing and my review below, fortunately, still applies! The owners have not changed much to their recipe of creating tasty and successful Gyros! The flavors of the Gyros were definitely present, and you can see them slicing the meat in the metal turnstile that slowly cooks the lamb meat. Scrumptious and a recommended stop! (Nov 15, 2011) Gyros, Gyros, Gyros, Gyros, Gyros! Pentanostimo!. We went to Gyro City Cafe on a Saturday night. Upon entering, it was small but clean joint. The owner and the worker there were both tired, but they serviced us fine. We ordered just a single gyro sandwich and a baklava, coming to...read more"

"I ordered the Carolina Porker the sauce had a little kick. It had slaw and fried onion strings on potatoes bread. My husband the Reuben. We both cleaned our plates. They smoke/cure the meat on location. The place has a cool history. Ask about it. Love Love Love! Awesome! Fantastic! Check it out."

"It's kind of amazing with these guys can do with a simple sausage. Go out on a limb and try something unexpected when you visit this place. I personally think the duck sausage with caramelized onions and apples topped with Bree is pretty on point. The specials are typically fun to drive as well. This is definitely not a health food place it is a feel good food place. They tend to minimize the condiment and go heavy on the relishs. My one ask for this place would be that they do something to balance the textures by adding a wet component to most of the dogs. Fortunately this is something you can do at the table. The duck fat fries are fantastic and highly recommended with an extra heavy dose of truffle oil."

"This was my first time eating here.&nbsp; As other reviewers have noted, it is not a fancy place.&nbsp; However, my meal was served on food service grade china dishes, and I ate it with food service standard silverware.&nbsp; Curiously, I was given a fork and spoon but no knife.&nbsp; My friend got the same silverware kit.&nbsp; That made for a challenge eating my mutton karrahi, but it was a challenge that I gladly accepted.&nbsp; <br> <br> I had a restaurant.com gift certificate, and they handled it without any questions.&nbsp; At this place, you order at the counter, pay for your meal, and then they bring it out to you.&nbsp; I ordered the mutton karrahi, mixed vegetable curry, and whole wheat roti.&nbsp; Like Sheesh Mahal on May Avenue, the meat entrees do not come with rice or bread; you have to order those separately.&nbsp; That means you can't eat here for less than $10 at lunch if you want to have a good size protein and starch.&nbsp; However, if you don't mind having a smaller amount of protein, you can go for one of their meat biryanis.<br> <br> The mutton karrahi was simply delicious.&nbsp; Picture chunks of mutton sitting in a thick tomato sauce flavored with jalapenos to make it nice and spicy.&nbsp; It hit a home run with my mouth.&nbsp; The roti was just the right amount of bland to quench the fire from the jalapenos.&nbsp; The mixed vegetable curry, however, was a mushy mess.&nbsp; It came with the same vegetables as in the menu description (i.e. peas, cauliflower, potatoes), but they cooked the vegetables in a generous amount of oil until the vegetables got mushy.&nbsp; This is the opposite of stir fry, when the vegetables come out crisp.&nbsp; I don't care for mushy cauliflower, so this part of my meal was only okay.&nbsp; On a future visit, I would like to try the spinach or okra since I enjoy those vegetables when they are cooked as long as the vegetables in my order today.&nbsp; <br> <br> The service was friendly and attentive.&nbsp; We were the first lunch customers at noon.&nbsp; I was a bit worried when two employees opened up the restaurant just a minute before noon.&nbsp; I wondered if we were in for slow service.&nbsp; However, we were served around 12:25 pm, and it was quite possible to finish eating by 1:00 pm.&nbsp; <br> <br> Overall, this place is worth another trip."

"Pricy, but good sub. there are many jersey mike 's stallorte in okc, and this is as good as any of them. it is small, so it is busy during the lunch break, but that is to be expected. the meat is cut to order, and this is nice to see. that makes a difference. also, in contrast to the great youngs of sub-shops, their beats are a little less overwhelming. simple yet plentiful selection with a mike 's way that is beautiful. her go-to dress is her oil and edgy and I recommend trying. even if I like all their Deli meat, I think that their best is roast beef (compared to other restaurants'"
