"Delicious food and excellent service. We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch; my son and I split a spicy cow's tongue appetizer, which was not too spicy and just salty enough. We both got tofu noodle dishes his an egg noodle, mine glass. Both were delicious and we have plenty for another meal. We both recommend!"

"We came understanding the great Thanksgiving dinner we had four years ago. This time not so. My wife had the chicken thinking of that moist turkey from the past) IT WAS VERY DRY! …..and the sauce could not make up for it. P.S. my wife was an executive chef ….. now teaching culinary) My rockfish was better but the presentation made it look like a glorified chicken tender. "Bagels aside, the coolest thing about this place is I can't tell if it's retro on purpose, or if they never updated their decor since the 80s. It felt like a trip back in time to childhood. They have bagel doorhandles and a non digital menu. When everywhere else in the world is a sensory overload, Bodo is a haven away from being overstimulated. I got a whole wheat bagel with double egg. My girlfriend got something similar, but with the jalapeño cream cheese. I made a HUGE mistake by not getting the cream cheese. I went back with my card out ready to get some cream cheese.. the lady working the counter realized my dilemma and she took care of me, no charge. If I lived here, I'd eat here three days a week. Finally. The coffee is excellent. I drink it black so it's important that the coffee can deliver on its own. Bottom line really excellent atmosphere, fast and incredibly friendly service, clean dining area, delicious food and coffee."

"I stopped for a bite while walking around downtown Charlottesville and was amazed by the food. Luce is the definition of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It's pretty much a one-room kitchen with a pick-up counter at the front. They are cooked to order, and I loved peeking through the window to watch them make my food! I ordered the pistou, which was spaghetti with shaved zucchini, tomatoes, some sort of pesto sauce, and parmesan. All the ingredients tasted super fresh and meshed very well with the pesto sauce!"

"Love the heat in their salsa with the chips as it catches you by surprise. If you are hot pepper-sensitive, ask if they have a mild salsa or for extra chips to cool the fire. The birria tacos are delicious, and the consomme that accompanies them is also very tasty."
