"We tried a place in Ensenada called the Gandolieri Italian Restaurant on the Corner of Lopez Mateos. It is close to the Marina and El Cid Hotel and the Santo Thomas.I ordered the Lasagna, and I asked the waitress if you could order a Meatball or an Italian Sausage with it as Usual right? Wrong! No she said just the Lasagna. So that was that rude conversation. My Wife ordered the Chicken Parmagian, And my Grand Daughter ordered the Shrimp fettuccini. Lets start with the Lasagna, it had that canned taste to it? But it was heavily condimented on top like a garnish, However, the Lasagna was only 2 thin layers deep. It seemed like it was a Mexican Costco frozen Entre! It lacked any substance ot real flavor. Then the Parmagian chicken was overcooked and almost blackened and dry. My Wife said that the chicken patties were most likely the same frozen ones from Costco. I understand sometimes people need to cut corners, However, If we were paying American premium prices in Mexico we better be getting some real food! The Check was over Fifty Dollars! Way over priced.and for bad frozen tasting food. The Shrimp Fetuccine pasta was not bad. But it was the only dish that was ok. The portions were miniature and the waitress could get some help in Manners. Stay away from this eatery."

"This little old mission is a small hotel and wonderful restaurant set on the corner of Bancarte and 10th. The Angus beef served is flavorful and tender. The staff are attentive and efficient. The outside dining area is set in a covered garden area. Tables are clean, chairs are comfortable and the bar is well tended. I had the Angus beef burger which was served with grilled slices of purple onion, bacon, cheese a thick slice of tomato and peppery greens. The meat was properly cooked and made a huge burger. The fries were made from fresh potatoes and served in a tall conical shaped holder accompanied with a small cup of ketchup. Or you can substitute fruits for the fries. Strolling around the grounds were a colorful peacock and peahen. Both friendly but skittish, they made a wonderful floor show. I recommend this lovely restaurant based on the food as serene atmosphere."

"My fellow workers brought me to eat here. it seems to be very popular with locals, always a good sign for a taco joint. tacos were great and the salsa bar was great to choose many toppings and salsas."

"But more importantly Great food. The tacos are big with guacamole, great salsa. The meat was just outstanding, flavourful, juicy, melt in your mouth kinda meat you find in Sonora. One of the best in town."
