"Great vibe w/ live low key music in bar serves as perfect backdrop for dinner. Our server, Hannah, was superb. Splurged on the A5 Japanese 8oz Wagyu and worth EVERY dollar!! I would recommend to only use the sauce sparingly (like a dip) tastes wonderful (great Japanese flavor) but it can quickly overpower. The smoked mac&cheese balanced it out well, and the truffle fries were best I’ve ever had. Oh yes try the Rocking Chair if you like Old Fashioned."

"Had Chefs Board which was great selection of cheese, meat, fruit and sauces. Sriracha Honey Fried Chicken Sammy was way too hot. Honey did not cool it down. Lips burned for quite awhile."

"I have the vegan chicken phillie with pasta salad and fried green tomato. I was impressed. the food was delicious and the amount of food they received for the price was excellent. the only part was that the order was a kind of hassle, they must call it in advance. Previous was then a 20-minute delay until the food was ready, so it was somehow a fiasco, but I think that was just my experience as I ordered in a holiday when she was really busy with other orders too."

"Always pretty yummy and consistent! I enjoy the thin and crispy with either cheese topping or simply mushrooms, pepperoni and light sauce. The STAR on the appetizer side is the chicken wing! I never eat wings anywhere but my family enjoys them so I eat them there only. They are huge and meaty with a nice crunch to them. Delish!"

"Worse service I have ever had. We actually walked out without placing a drink order. We were seated. Then sat there for 20 minutes. No one ever looked at me let alone ask if I want water or idk maybe FOOD? After 20 minutes of waiting for nothing another couple came in sat down and instantly got water and took their order. I'll take my money somewhere else thanks for nothing."

"Top of our list right now after a year+ of exploring KC after moving from Houston. We coincidentally met chef Brandon Brumback at a J. Rieger barrel dinner the weekend prior and loved what he did, so it was no surprise that this was a home run.The ambience is fantastic from the moment you walk in the building. The restaurant is cozy and romantic. Staff are friendly and helped with anything we asked for recommendations on.We ordered the beef carpaccio and Caesar salads to start. Both were fantastic, the salad dressing being perfectly balanced with flavorful, crispy yet tender croutons.Half a dozen oysters were next. They were fresh and delicious. I didn’t totally care for the mignonette but I’m super picky about that, I don’t hold it against them.This is the first nice restaurant in KC where I’ve seen a legit cacio e pepe, so I had to order it. It exceeded my expectations and I ate every bit of it.My date ordered the filet and green beans. Both were PERFECTLY cooked and the duck confit is to die for with the beans.Cocktails are a blend of traditional and creative; our favorite ended up being the old fashioned.We opted for the goat cheese cheesecake dessert, which was definitely different but good as a more savory finisher.Take a look around the museum after, it’s a great all in one date spot and you will not be disappointed with the quality. We will be back!"
