"My first visit to Goodson's. One of my mother in law's favorite places, so she brought us to try it out. The overall service was spot on; a warm greeting when we came through the door, and super friendly warrior staff. Food was great!!! (With the tiniest exception for the beans they called charro beans; they tasted exactly like ranch style beans. I mentioned it, and the waitress kindly brought me a replacement. Hubz tried the Roast Beef Potato, which he said was delicious, and mother in law had her usual, Chicken Fried Chicken. It almost covered the whole plate! As for me, I had to try that Chicken Fried Steak, even though I really wanted the Shrimp Alfredo I live in the town called Crockett, and almost every cafe in the surrounding area has a chicken fried steak, and I've tried them all This is indeed a good chicken fried steak, won't deny that at all, but not the best in Texas, HeeHee! Reminded me of Elf congratulating the coffee shop for having The Best Cup of Coffee in the World!! "

"You have great burgers and pommes. Word to the wise.... Do not order the big pommes.... Unless you plan to do one of the following. Train to eat in a food eat challenge, plan to feed a small village, want to eat frits for the next 3 meals, you want to share them with a family of 4. I like all Burger Addons."

"The menu isn't terribly extravagant, it's mostly American staples like steak, burgers, sandwiches, salad, pasta, and some seafood. The execution is consistently strong and that's what I think makes this restaurant popular. In addition, the servers are very good. Ours the other day was a six year veteran of the restaurant and it showed. He was very accommodating, knew the menu well, could answer any questions and make suggestions about the items, and knew when to talk and when to allow us time. Drinks were regularly tended to and he brought a little humor to the discussion too. I've been to higher end steakhouses where the servers were not at least as big a foodie as I am and it showed. In our visit our party tried out some salads, the fish and chips, and the chicken fried steak. The salad selection is actually very good here and the flavors are great. The chicken fried steak is not Houston's biggest, but the preparation is excellent, with a slightly spicy and nicely fried batter. The sides are all also well made."

"I had the Chipotle Chicken Speck Ranch Panini and it was delicious. The 1/2 sandwich with the side salad was the perfect size. We had the lemon bars and the salted caramel bar for dessert and they had to die for it. Everything was fresh! We're coming back!"

"My cousin and I tortured Tomball today and at noon at Nonnies... My stars are really 4.5 stars, just because I ordered the Roastbeef Blue Salat (that was Yam) and they don't have Blue Cheese Dressing to accompany this beautifully delicious salad that broke blue cheese up. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be back for a contract, the next time we're in Tomball."
