"Fantastic room even though we did not have a sea view. Complementary gin and sherry in the room, which was a nice touch. Not sure if they decorated during lockdown but the hotel was looking fresh same as our room. Very clean with lots of space. Staff were helpful and I really cannot find anything negative to write."

"So much better on every level than the terrible terrace at the Old Quay House which is covered in bird s**t. These guys at the Toll Bar were friendly and hospitable and the view was great. They have heaters outside and not a seagull in sight."

"I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this quant Cornish harbour pub. I got the impression lots of locals use. Unfortunately during the week visiting in September/October it was always so busy to sit inside. There is the Smithy area (extra indoor seating, but we sat outside looking out at the harbour and under cover outdoor area. Simple menu but I feel it is all about the drinking. Had a very tasty burger and good chips! My husband said his Guinness was perfectly creamy and poured well but a little pricy! I had a good house gin and tonic good value for money. Staff were very jolly and friendly. I kinda wish it were my local obvious because of the views too!"

"Amazing food and service, but ordered a Coke and it was flat, I think it came from a large bottle rather than a can or bottle and they pre poured all the tonic in a gin and tonic so you couldn’t really taste the gin"

"Arrived in the deli to have a long cozy lunch to celebrate my other half 66th birthday. the waitress that served us had no idea how to wait tables, nor what was on the menu. we ordered 2 meeres fruits buckets with bread....Why said that the meeress was not on camp after waitress had gone to order through. disappointed ordered 2 crooked sandwiches instead. the brot was served and had to reject this if not in stock as an original order, but on the menu board. it seemed that the crab sandwiches were brought from the next door into sandwich packages. totally disappointed, felt really involuntary and that we only pay £9.50 for a crab sandwich because we didn't pay for the name quality! gott help everyone to visit in the height of the summer! no care."

"Such a warm, cosy and friendly place. Although we didn’t eat we found every member of staff as friendly and helpful as possible. Although we had never visited before the Manager stopped for a chat with new pub puppy, bar staff couldn’t have been more...lovely and we have found our new favourite pub! The people made such a difference. We live locally and will be back to try the food next time. Thank you!"
