"We found this great little place after deciding the other places near the beach in La Cala were, for us, a bit too expensive for some of the things we were looking at having for a snack. Almost went back to our apartment but decided to sit at El Deseo's tables by the tower. Menu was good and so reasonable. OH had a ham and cheese bocadillo and I had a tortilla and they were really good, coffee was excellent too : Will definitely go back next time in La Cala."

"After a bit of research we decided to drive from Elveria to find the restaurant, and it took a little bit of searching, but the trusty SAT Nav got us near enough to see the flags. To our dismay it was closed, and only open...later that week on late afternoons, but it had a notice on the door and a telephone number. We called the number to book a table later that week, only to find that Pedro asked when we would like to eat, and as there was 6 in our party he opened up for us, WOW. From then on this became a private dining experience, Pedro took time to welcome us, explain about the location, food and what he is all about. The views from the terrace are fantastic, one side id MIJAS in the hills, the other side shows the full coast from Fuengirola, La Cala and more, stunning. The food is truly honest, and cooked to order, so don't think you will be in and out in 30 mins, we had 3 courses, and Gins of course and 2 hours just wizzed by. We all had various starters, but the stars of the show were the steak, the 3 men in our party decided we would have this as the main, and they are sold on weight. Pedro proudly showed the uncooked steaks to us, they were enormous, we all burst into laughter at the size, they were all cooked to our desired liking, perfectly and they worked out at around 20 Euro each, and I can assure you that in the UK you would pay £30 for a steak half the size. The meal was great all round, everyone enjoyed it, but if you go, you have to get the steak hahahahaha.... Pedro made us feel so welcome, and im sure we will be back there one day, and if Pedro reads this review, its from Andy, Andy and Andy, he will hopefully remember us..."

"It is very easy to decide which is the best Asian restaurant in mijas, despite the fact that there are many possibilities in the thing. asia pura is not just a place where you can get good food, asia pura is a place where you can feel comfortable. in a beautiful and simple access location, elegant and discreet, clean, modern and spacious, this place is driven by a wonderful man named samsung. his wife and his mother are his partner, there is a solid team that makes the dinge perfect. I know samsung in many years, since the time he worked in a Thai restaurant in cabopino marina, I was in many years being hospitable and I am happy to find him again and meet him this time as owner af his own house. samsung is not only a waiter, he is an intelligent cultivated person, a highly qualified person who meets all the questions of an attractive restaurant chef, a good manager. eating is fantastic and the price is absolutely the lowest possible. asia pura is a wonderful place to spend their holiday evenings in a unique atmosphere with good food, good music, friendly personell and overall with the always smile of the man who cares about everything: samsung! samsung always means quality, either for phones or for a place to have a great time!"
