"This restaurant certainly lives up to its name, which means "good evening" in Italian. There are over eighty places to dine out in Mildura, but this absolute gem must be one of the best.I dined at Buona Sera with a group of “Women of Influence” who were attending a seminar in the accompanying Cottonwood Motel. We were all very happy with our meals and accommodation. I have chosen to review my meal on the Friday night, before the seminar formally commenced.My pre-dinner “gin and tonic” came beautifully presented with ice and a slice of fresh lemon, a small detail often overlooked. My main course of Steak Diane focused around a generous serving of tender beef cooked to perfection, served with its delicious sauce on mashed potatoes with steamed vegetables. The house red was smooth and well selected. My dessert of Crepe Suzette was brought flaming to the table, creating quite a moment of excitement for fellow diners. It included two crepes, folded traditionally which melted in the mouth, served with cream and ice-cream. I chose a small dessert wine which perfectly rounded out my rare night of indulgence. Others enjoyed coffee and progressed on to catch up over drinks at the bar.While the owner/manager was away on vacation, we had the benefit of his parents’ experience of over thirty years in the industry. Not only was every need catered for, but it was done so thoughtfully and graciously with warmth and humour. I thank them sincerely, as I will remember this delightful evening for a long time."

"Goot distillery, the bar is brilliant, they make their own gin and whisky. the outside area is brilliant, wonderful in the evening. I personally liked the gin tasting. the whisky is okay. the hidden gem for me was the 'gin chili'"
