"I've been going to Shabu Shabu for about three years now and have been disappointed recently by the declining quality of their all you can eat korean BBQ. The marinated beef has always been a good choice and still is really tasty and well seasoned. However, I've never...been fan of the pork belly as it wasn't really marinated or had anything special. This hasn't been an issue in the past but at my last visit, we were served a huge plate of unfrozen, tasteless pork belly that consisted mainly of fat that didn't even add anything to the taste of the pork. We also received much more than expected easily twice the quantity compared to a plate of beef. Since we're not allowed to waste food, this was a regrettable experience overall. The bibimbap and side dishes were good as usual however. The service has always been hit or miss. I think the waiters are very busy at the restaurant since there are not many. You have to hit the button at the end of the table to call this, which is very convenient. In the past, I had to hit the button once or twice to have someone come at the table but lately, we could try three or four times and get no one after several minutes still, most of the time, someone will come promptly. The à la carte menu still is reasonable but pretty good in my experience. I will definitely come back if I want a simple korean meal. However the all you can eat korean bbq has been disappointing lately and given the competition, either better restaurants or places closer downtown, it's hard to recommend to drive all the way there, especially for the price and service. The free karaoke provides better value but strictly for the BBQ, I would recommend you take separate items out of the menu instead."

"A nice place to have a lunch at a very good price. The service is fast. With each meal you'll get a free little soup and a fresh salad. The meat is great, however the noodles or the rice are just boiled with no extra flavors or spices if you're on diet, you will appreciate that. Personally, I like it more than KimChi chain."
