"I had lived in san diego for 4 years and visited some friends for the week. I found this place right around the corner of my airbnb and let me tell them that was the best breakfast I had all traveled. I had this on the last day of my trip after having visited all the other top names / popular spots in san diego. I had the huevos rancheros and my friend had the stuffed French toast. the huevos rancheros was literally incredible, so much taste and the eggs were perfectly cooked. the filled French toast was also incredible. not to mention this place offers tons of healthy options for those who eat healthier without any amazing taste. the place was super clean and the staff was super nice! this place does not get enough attention as it deserves, i highly recommend them to check it. 10/10."

"I loved the food. I been a fan of Sam 's YouTube channel for years and I have been wanting to try Not Not Tacos for the longest time, being from Arizona, and finally had the chance so I took it when visiting LA and came through SD. We had It 's a Date taco combo. It was definitely worth it. We ordered the Korean Short Rib, Mashed Potatoes, Kelly 's Shrimp, Nashville Hot Chicken and chips and guacamole. It was all good and delicious especially the tater tots because they had tons of flavor compared to other food spots I 've had where it 's just plain Jane tots. Mashed potatoes and Nashville chicken are tied as my favorites, the chicken had great flavor and was really juicy, and the mashed potatoes reminded me of my childhood because my mom would make mashed potatoe tacos and it is one of my favorite tacos to eat. Definitely would go again next time I 'm in San Diego. Also recommend trying guacamole in any and all the tacos or tots too, it was all bomb together! Can 't wait for my next visit and hopefully I get the chance to meet Sam next time.Parking: There 's a small parking garage under the same building but limited parking. But there 's plenty of parking on the street but a small challenge. It 's to be expected, the area looks busy."

"My first visit to Verbena and I’ll definitely be back! Stopped in for dinner before heading to a play, our server was very attentive and provided excellent service. My daughter and I shared a few dishes, all were unique and delicious. Started with the oysters on happy hour, an amazing deal! The shrimp ceviche was bursting with flavor and the chef’s soup with apple slices was warm and comforting on a cold evening. Topped things off with their burger, cooked perfectly with just the right amount of sauce and onions. Lots of different tastes and each was excellent!"

"Classy restaurant without the snobby vibe! It's a fun yet elegant place to celebrate you next special occasions . My friends took me there for a nice dinner to celebrate my new job and I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The service was impeccable. Our server, Miguel, was extra attentive and everyone worked that night was extremely pleasant. The gentlemen who came around to refill everyones water glass made sure that we had ours refilled with the sparklingwater but not the regular tap water. We ordered 3 small plates to share: embered swordfish, charred caulilini, chicken fried quail. small plates are only good for 2, max 3, people to share. Do not expect large portion. My favorite wasthe chicken fried quail. Not too greasy. The charred caulilini was very flavorful with a mixed of nutty flavor and sweetness. My friends ordered the New York strip It was juicy and the mushroom sauce complimented it perfectly. I orderedthe half duck as my dinner entree. The duck leg was cooked to perfection. Duck breast was a little fibrous-y and chewy probably because of the fat , but the duck leg was cooked to perfection. The duck leg was tender and scrumptious withlots of flavor. We finished with 2 desserts: the tree claire and the strawberry tart. Tree Claire was definitely light and not too sweet."
