"Visiting from Cork, meeting family members for lunch. We didn’t stay in the hotel, we ate in the Cedars Brassiere restaurant. 6 people, starter…..2 wings, 1 soup, 2 salads (1house salad 1 Caesar) 1 chowder. Wings arrived first, then a long wait for each salad delivered separately, longer again was the soup followed by the chowder, (so long waiting that one of the guests had finished their starter) both soup/chowder were lukewarm and the bread was actually frozen. Main course arrived while we were finishing our starters, we had to move our starter plates to one side while mains were delivered. Chicken stir fry was again lukewarm, and it tasted as if it was basically a store bought bottle of sweet chilli sauce poured over chicken, very small portion or rice in the middle of the bowl which was spoiled by an enormous sprinkling of parsley, not at all like what I was hoping for. One guest had roast of the day, which was enjoyable, 2 burger chips but they lacked any flavours. Staff were pleasant but inattentive, we had to wait a long while to have our drinks replenished, mains served and we still had to ask/wait for cutlery, adding to the disappointing temperature of the already lukewarm meals. Overall very disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning."
