"I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but I actually like the dough / crust more than the actual pizza it's so light and airy though it looks thick and doughy. The taste of pizza is OK."

"We had a seasonal asparagus soup which was very good, and the Amatriciana which was pretty good. Service was efficient and friendly. And it was reasonably priced for Switzerland."

"Last year I learned Alpenrose had closed, only to learn it had reopened under new ownership this year. I wondered if this 2.0 version was as good as the original and booked a dinner reservation.The interior, which has the feel of a country inn, had been spruced up, giving it more charm. A bigger change was to the menu. Many items had changed, although Swiss cuisine was still the name of the game and it was now available in English.The meatloaf I had was very good and different from any that I've ever had in the states. The vegetables that came with it were less interesting, but fine. Dessert was fantastic as was the two wines, a white and red. Portions were filling, with prices moderate to high.While I didn't think the menu offering was as interesting as the original, I did think the service had come up another notch. A really friendly crew, who know how to take care of their guests. Alpenrose still packs them in, so I'd recommend making a reservation. If your using public transportation, Alpenrose is located near the Dammweg stop.Great to see this favorite restaurant of mine back."

"We accidentally found this place while roaming the streets of Zurich. Simple, cosy little place with friendly staff ( there were only 2) and wifi! You can choose from the numerous seasoning ingredients kept out on the side. Even the plain old Pizza margarita was delicious. All in all, one of the best Pizzas I have had."
