"Kaysersberg is a well-preserved medieval town, once of strategic importance. Thanks to a local knight who joined the defence of Europe from the Ottomans, the famous Tokay grape vines came there on his return. We came for lunch before wine tasting at Francois Stoll: another good tip. Flammekuchen (thin dough with your choice of toppings) or Fleischnaka (my favorite: chopped innards with fine spicesrolled in thin dough and boiled) both good bases for a wine tasting. Friendly service and the food came very quickly."
