"Let me start by saying it was my mothers birthday and there was a mix up on reservations on our end. She was very disappointed she wouldn’t be able to eat there, but the manager was super polite and recommended we eat across the street. We reluctantly left and went to the restaurant across the road as he suggested and it was a good restaurant so the birthday was going well, but what made it even more special was the surprise of seeing the manager of Amore with dessert for my mother and a candle lit on top. He drove across the street to deliver the dessert in person to mom. She was so happy! I just wanted to say thank you so much, my mother was really down and having that surprise lifted her heart. The staff are truly amazing and I look forward to eating here in the future."

"Food was great, service was very slow. The restaurant was not terribly busy and it took forever to order everything from wine to desert. And to get the bill. The server was nice but not quite sure why we had to always ask for him."

"The Italian cuisine was written due to the fact that it was close to an event I also went. very nice greeting from the personal it was a cold wet day outside, although we are now in the mai, but the restaurant was warm and very cozy. when I booked, I didn't know that there was a set menu it was £11,95 for 2 courses and the choices were very good. we shared a starter and a dessert our main courses were nice good portion size (we had the seafood pasta and the arrabiata) we shared the cheesecake, which was amazing the best cheesecake I tasted. we'll be back soon. well made to all employees the Italian cuisine is probably the best Italian restaurant that I was in glassgow."

"Very disappointed, went there with my wife for a date night. I ordered the seafood fri diavlo and asked if they could turn off the muscles or something else they did. When I got the food, everything was very badly overcooked. I really thought the shrimps had the shells on them, so bad it was. He told the waiter who was very nice and he took it back. He told me they had a new sous chief. When the remade my order I had more shells in it when I could count, and the seafood was still boiled. I might ate 1/4 of it, and that was it. I must say a very disappointed manager never came by. Almost like they didn't care. I don't mind paying for good food, but I'm definitely not going back."

"Foods was mediocre, very disappointed overall. Ordered a squid ink pasta w. jumbo shrimp the paste came out crumbled together, dried and was only three split shrimps on whole plate. Decent multi grain pasta light tomato sauce with zucchini, broccoli, and tomatoes like a plate of spaghetti in vegetable soup. Both grilled chicken breast w. herbs/spices and sea bass w. white wine, olive oil, lemon, slivered almonds were just average nothing 'wow ' about them, especially they were thinly sliced and lacked of flavor. Surprisingly, the saffron risotto w. sauteed mushrooms was delicious the best of all dishes I ordered. Don 't order antipasto plate it looked like mix of foods from cafeteria piled up in one plate two thinly sliced roasted beets, half cut portabella mushroom, stockpiled of string beans, spinach, and a tomato with fresh mozzarella cheese. In the end, the check came out with two double charged of similar entrees, and waiter didn 't even realized it until I inquired about the charges. First time and the last time. I thought to give it a try at Gente, but La Pecora Bianca Midtown is still the best in neighborhood."

"My husband took me the night before Mother? Hello. Only a 9:15 a.m. reservation could be made because it said they were overcrowded. When I was there, was it really? Food was great including appetizers. Did you really like the soup or the bread? The waiter was great and he kept my table clean. Manager didn't even tell us when we came in when he saw my face."
