"This place cannot be faulted. It is a true taste of Italy in the most unlikely of settings. But that's part of the magic. Come on a weekday for lunch if you can, gets very crowded on the weekend. I recommend getting five wood-fired pizzas. It'll cost you $20 and is enough food for 4-5 people (pizzas are small in size but filling). They're gourmet style, so not loaded with toppings. There is an emphasis on freshness throughout this place. Leave with some crusty bread or some Nutella doughnuts for later."

"Me and my partner happened to pass by this cozy look bar and decided to give it a try. It was full but we managed to grab a seat at the bar counter. If you don't mind sitting there when you got no reservation made. <br/>We have the marinated octopus and salad as entree, lasagna and lamb brain as main, finish with flourless chocolate. I'm not a dessert fan but this is good, it's not very sweet. <br/>Busy place but service was good. The place is small and dim light which made me feel cosy."

"Got takeaway pizza and really enjoyed it. The vegetarian options were great and tasted as good as they sounded. Garlic bread was the old fashioned squishy bread type with lots of garlic butter which I quite like, but some people might not."

"Came for dinner with my family, service was really friendly and the interior of the restaurant is very nice. The meals were really pleasant, all of the elements were really well cooked, tasty.. and full of flavour. To start we shared the antipasto patter which came with a variety of deli meats, chorizo, salmon and oysters with pita, cheeses and pickled vegetables... I ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly and came with a nice assortment of vegetables. Really nice little restaurant hiding in the suburbs."

"Mr Hobson is located in the most amazing spot on the water in Port Melbourne. They have a lovely outdoor space where you can enjoy coffee and brekkie; a cafe area for brunches; and a causal dining restaurant with gorgeous harbour views, an open kitchen and a cocktail bar open all evening! They really have all their bases covered<br/ <br/ On our recent visit we were treated to this yummy spread, consisting of:<br/ Baked eggs smokey chirizo sausages, paprika potatoes, parmesan goat's cheese, avo salad<br/ Pumpkin, feta and corn frittas, smoked salmon roasted tomatoes, poached eggs, chia pumpkin seeds with hollandaise<br/ Triple stack blueberry pancakes, blueberry compote, vanilla marscarpone maple<br/ <br/ Baked eggs:<br/ Mr Hobson put their own spin on these baked eggs and they are not what you would usually expect. Rather than being served in a pan, the eggs were baked with the other ingredients in to more of a fritatta arrangement. The chirizo and paprika potatoes brought soft spice flavors and the cheeses gave a nice richness to the dish. There was a generous serving of smashed avo and greens to really round out the meal. We definitely recommend this dish to baked egg lovers who prefer their spices on the milder side.<br/ <br/ Pumpkin frittas with smoked salmon:<br/ I'm so excited about these frittas as they are quite possibly the BEST frittas I've ever had! They come standard with 2 poached eggs which we love. These were perfectly cooked and had so much yolk! There was a generous amount of beautiful smoked salmon and two massive pieces of grilled tomato so you could have some in every bite. The frittas themselves were AMAZING! Perfectly cooked so they were warm and soft on the inside and they were just packed full of flavour. The pumpkin was sweet and delicious and the feta brought a luxurious richness. I ordered the hollandaise on the side for this meal. I'm really glad I did because there was so much flavour in the dish already, and so much gooey yolk, that i only needed a tiny bit of sauce for each forkfull just to compliment the frittas. If you love your frittas then this dish comes highly recommended! 10/10 trotters<br/ <br/ Tripple Stack Blueberry Pancakes:<br/ 3 light and fluffy pancakes with blueberry compote, vanilla marscarpone and maple syrup. The pancakes are deliciously sugary on their own but adding the generous serving of rich maple over the top is guaranteed to satisfy the sweetest of sweet tooths.<br/ The berry compote ads a beautiful pop of colour to the plate and the vanilla marscarpone is just devine. In our opinion the pancakes were a great dessert option to an already delicious savoury brunch<br/ <br/ The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location cant be faulted. The decor is a little tired and outdated but the location is so beautiful you'll be looking at the view anyway. This venue has so much potential and we can't wait to see what they have in store for the future. <br/ <br/ We were invited to dine at Mr Hobson"

"Nice food. Yummy Almond encrusted crumb on their fish and Parma.Could have easily had bigger servings for the alacarte price. But worth it with their lunch packages<br/>Service was good and the location is well decorated. There was a party on at the time so music was on and the dancefloor was utilised."

"Beautiful and interesting setting, I think the building used to be a post office. Really nice and sunny in the morning. Very friendly staff. I really like the menu selection as it is not presumptuous like many other cafes. It offers very homey and down to earth choices but is still delicious and good quality."

"Burnt food and poor quality with high price!. Ordered 2 chicken Parma meals and children's crumbed chicken and chips and 300g steak. Both Parmas were extremely dry and burnt, had black patches all underneath and around sides and very hard to even cut : would of sent them back but we waited nearly an hour for our food even though they weren't busy on a Friday night and had 3 hungry kids with us! Chips were overcooked, solid and brown in colour instead of golden. . Steak cost 32 dollars and was an overcooked dry chunk which was presented with what looked like a miniscule amount of sliced baked potatoes which a dreadful tasting sauce. There were two choices of sauce for the steak, chose mushroom, received a dark gravy with 2 thin slices of a little mushroom on top! Not impressed.. someone has also told me that if you order your drink without ice they charge you extra! Disgraceful and ripoff poor quality food.. mcdonald's has more taste and is better cooked than the meals re received. A real shame as it's the only resturant in eynesbury."
