"Alonso 10 restaurant excels at service...the type of service usually reserved for high class, expensive dining experiences. The staff is both gracious and friendly. I had melon water, Mexican appetizer, and Aztec Soup. The food was well presented and tasty, and the live piano music enjoyable. It's a place for a quiet, classy meal not far from Jardin da la Union. What astounded me most was the inexpensive price for the quality of food and service."

"La Presa de Olla is a worthy destination in Guanajuato. La Victoriana is worthy in its own right, because the menu is varied and everything is reliably delicious. You'll love the front porch of this old building, it is a great place to enjoy the...relative peace of La Presa compared to the Centro district, and whether it is a traditional Mexican dish such as tortilla soup or something unexpected like Greek salad, the food is reliable. Dessert and a cappuccino are an absolute must. (Hint: there is also terrace type seating at one end of the coffee and dessert bar, down a short staircase) In the evening, the restaurant is lively with locals and tourists alike."

"This is my 2nd trip to guanajuato, a place I love having several great bars and restaurants, so I hate to publish a bad review unless it is justified. I fully agree with rangmx: today we have penetrated into the bar, to a cold, inhospitable reception. the selection of the beer limited to only corona or victoria and overpriced $45 pesos; the 2 waiters did not try to engage with us (we were at the beginning 2:00, but a greeting of any would have been nice), and there were NO offer of botanos (will hope some to consider for the $45 peso bier). I think the hype that surrounds this place is unproven. please visit this beautiful city and visit other great bars, such as golem or galeria azul anil, or la vida sin ti, which all have a great atmosphere, a good choice of inexpensive drinks and a welcome smile."
